France has apologised to Bolivia for refusing to allow President Evo Morales' jet into its airspace, blaming "conflicting information".

Bolivia accused France, Italy, Spain and Portugal of blocking the plane.

It said some wrongly believed US fugitive Edward Snowden was on board.

Speaking in Berlin, French President Francois Hollande said he granted permission as soon as he knew it was Mr Morales' plane.

President Morales was flying back to Bolivia from Moscow when the plane was forced to stop in Vienna.

The French should have known better than to rely on information from our feckless CIA. That’s the crack agency that didn’t see the fall of the Soviet Union coming. They are another inept government agency costing us far more than they are worth.

Well, that just proves that the NSA needs to collect even MORE information on Americans to keep us secure. /s

I am sorry the “French” are such a bunch of double talking losers. Why are they taking orders from the Snooper and Chief?

When his plane finally landed in Austria with the agreement it could be searched for Snowden, they only allowed a brief walk-through, down then back up, with no actual searching. In other words, Snowden COULD have been on the plane. And if he was, he could be anywhere now.

NSA probably blows more money........ They could do a great job of monitoring the real problem with terrorists and Jihadists with lots less money. Instead--  to build a huge bureaucratic empire full useless Federal drones and doling out billons to greedy connected contractors on the gov't tit, they monitor and save all electronic communication in America, thus spying and collating on millions and millions of honest average American

NSA and CIA--  think huge gov't make work programs---welfare programs for the college educated

One can't help but wonder who started the rumor. It had to be someone who knew the Bolivian president was on board.

(sounds like a chess play, doesn't it?)
