I GOT 30 MILLION REASONS
Ann Coulter.com ^ | 7/3/13 | Ann Coulter

Posted on 07/03/2013 5:51:20 PM PDT by SoFloFreeper

We keep hearing insistent claims that if Republicans don't pass amnesty yesterday it will be the end of the party.

Can I see the math on that? I can see why bringing in 30 million new Democratic voters would be good for the Democrats, but how does it help Republicans? Maybe conservatives shouldn't blindly trust the calculations of the guy who graduated fifth from the bottom of his class at the U.S. Naval Academy.

If I were a Democrat, I would have tried to sneak this bill past Republicans by proposing amnesty only after reaching some easily rigged benchmarks. But, apparently, Chuck Schumer knows elected Republicans better than I do.

Step One: Everyone's amnestied. Step Two: After they're amnestied, they can bring in all their relatives.

If Hispanics voted 50.1 percent for Democrats, amnesty would be a bad deal for Republicans. But, in fact, they vote 70 percent to 80 percent for Democrats. How did it become an urgent priority for Republicans to bring in 30 million new voters, 80 percent of whom will vote Democratic?

Democrats want 30 million new voters and they will say anything to get there:

-- It's a crisis! Illegal immigrants are "living in the shadows"!

That's not a "crisis." At most -- and this is highly dubious -- it's a crisis for the illegal immigrants. But evidently, "living in the shadows" is at least better than living in Guadalajara. Otherwise, there's an easy solution.

We're told, "You don't know what it's like to live in the shadows!" Yes, you're right, and that proves it's not a crisis...

I take Coulter one article at a time. 3/4 I give a thumbs up. 1/4 I give a thumbs down.

I don’t consider her any more insightful than you.

(that’s a compliment BTW).

Coulter swings for the fences. She doesn’t always hit a home run, but I am glad that she is on my team.

Let me rephrase that.

You and most Freepers have more insight than this woman.

graduated fifth from the bottom of his class at the U.S. Naval Academy.

Refers, of course, to the "war hero" John McCain.

My thoughts are that the GOP is or has already alienated most or all of its base, and thinks that it has to create a new base for itself, and may be attempting to do see with this legislation.

But seeing as how they are incapable of selling themselves to anyone about anything, they are going to end up assisting the democrats in extending their base and leaving themselves alienated to just about everyone in the country.

Which is just fine with me, to be perfectly honest, because I can no longer see any purpose or reason to their existence other than to provide a boogeyman for the democrats to run against, and I’d just as soon the democrats no have that boogeyman any longer.

As far as Coulter goes, she mostly pisses me off. Every now and then though I must admit she makes a good point on something or other.

I saw her on Hannity a few nights ago, and she looked terrible. She’s too skinny, and she looks like she may have an eating disorder. I’m not sure if that’s the case, but she needs to get to eating.

She does NOTHING to sell the conservative message to the larger electorate and she tries to sneak liberal memes into our brains.

I’m sorry, she’s not worth a warm bucket of spit.

But what about all the other demographics that can take advantage of this disaster?

Are the mexican’s the only ones that get to reap the rewards?

I’d hate to see what the newly minted citizens of Dearborn, Mich...Paterson, NJ...Minneapolis, Minn....Lewiston, Maine...and elsewhere, where the US State Dept has relocated thousand and thousands of 3rd world ugly and Muslims.

Can’t wait to have a radical muslim as a sitting member of the US Congress. It’ll be great.

She takes a lot of crap for her girly crush on Gov Christie. Now that she is over it, she wants her place back as a best selling author. She is again flirting with her base - us.

You've already got one.

Keith Ellison (D-MN), Nation of Islam.

I know. But, I’m going to go out on a limb and say they are more the prison, black muslim type. And use that to hide behind and give themselves some undeserved press.

I don’t think they’re wanting the caliphate. Hell, real muslims don’t even like blacks, so they’re really pissing in the wind with their conversions.

I'd say she's batting about .500. She has a snappy way of expressing herself sometimes, but seems to believe she's wiser than she is.

As for the Republicans: I've had more than enough.

Give you a break? I was a big fan of hers until she attacked TEA party thinkers and helped the democrats foist Romney on us. These are the same Democrats that she derides in this article. Next she wants to foist Christie on us.

She is so wrapped up in her cocktail party crowds that she has forgotten about true American Conservatism.

Give you a break? Yeah right. She gets the treatment that she has earned.

Ann Coulter is the CO2 of American political commentary. She's a lagging indicator, in other words.

Freepers are brilliant and insightful. Coulter knows how to copy and paste their thoughts back to them.

But I’ll not pretend she didn’t desert for a while
