RUSH: 'QUITE TELLING' FOX DIDN'T WANT ME TO CRITICIZE IMMIGRATION REFORM

Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said on Tuesday that it was "quite telling" that Fox News did not want him to talk at length about his opposition to comprehensive immigration reform during his appearance on Fox and Friends.

"Now I told the people at Fox that I wanted to talk about this today three or four times and they wouldn't do it," Limbaugh said on his show after his appearance. "They were not interested in bringing this subject up. I wanted to talk about this in relationship to the current state of the Republican party and they wouldn't do it."

Limbaugh said he "had to bring it up myself to whatever extent I did, and that by the way, is quite telling to me."

Limbaugh did indeed manage to get in some comments about immigration on the show, saying, "Republicans are sitting around twiddling their thumbs worried about immigration and whether the Hispanics like them or not and being skunked on issue after issue after issue."

Then you must favor socialism, gun bans, massive entitlements, and various other 'Progessive ideas', because the current crop of Amnesty candidates are hugely in favor of that.

Which, of course, shows us all what you truly favor -- your protestations to the contrary nonwithstanding.

What does the GOPe know that makes them so willing, even eager, to spit on the conservative base?

They know that the government at Washington has been liberated from the constraints placed by the Constitution, that said government knows how to wield power, and that that government will reward followers and punish opponents.

No, the typical argument is WE have to pay for these people. That’s an argument based on socialism (people seen as a liability becasue they are a siphon for government “entitlements” instead seen as another human being of intrinsic worth and value looking for the opportunity and freedom to build his life). Instead, we should focus on taking down the socialist state.

Plus, as long as I’m tearing you one, you do realize the poet who wrote “give me your tired...” was an avowed Zionist. I’m guessing she wasn’t a big fan of Arabs immigrating into the new Jewish state she helped form, and then voting on who would lead the Israelis.

Your assessment of Lincoln and the Republicans is correct. My preference is that a new conservative based party, maybe started with help from Mark Levin and Sarah Palin, come into being. I would love to join a truly conservative, states rights oriented party that had no stench of Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, and the other progressives.

If I favored massive entitlements, would I favor immigration? Of course not! Socialism is an argument against immigration, the argument I hear most often around here. The effort should instead be on taking down this socialist government monster to it constitutional size and limits.

Yeah mine too about 1660 near as I can tell. We are talking about people who climb over the rusty 2 strands of barbed wire instead of doing it the right way, the legal way. We are not talking about stopping legal immigrants just the illegal ones. Just the ones who swim the Rio Grande, that is where the term “wet back” came from, in case you don't know. I have watched them coming out of the river with all of their belongings in a bundle over their heads. Were they poor Mexicans just looking for a job or were they terrorists coming in the back door? We will never know will we?

The level of ignorance now is such that millions of Americans think the name of Lincoln’s party starts with a big D. Most of those think that the party of George Wallace and white racism starts with a big R. Ignorance is thriving in all states like Kudzu in South Carolina.
