RUSH: 'QUITE TELLING' FOX DIDN'T WANT ME TO CRITICIZE IMMIGRATION REFORM
Big Journalism ^ | 7/3/2013 | TONY LEE

Posted on 07/03/2013 5:02:09 PM PDT by markomalley

Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said on Tuesday that it was "quite telling" that Fox News did not want him to talk at length about his opposition to comprehensive immigration reform during his appearance on Fox and Friends.

"Now I told the people at Fox that I wanted to talk about this today three or four times and they wouldn't do it," Limbaugh said on his show after his appearance. "They were not interested in bringing this subject up. I wanted to talk about this in relationship to the current state of the Republican party and they wouldn't do it."

Limbaugh said he "had to bring it up myself to whatever extent I did, and that by the way, is quite telling to me."

Limbaugh did indeed manage to get in some comments about immigration on the show, saying, "Republicans are sitting around twiddling their thumbs worried about immigration and whether the Hispanics like them or not and being skunked on issue after issue after issue."

Only the difference between a 100 million population and a 300 million population in a chronically unemployed era in which those with jobs are paying for those without, to include immigrants legal and illegal

Get rid of the socialist payments and you have the 20’s again.

But the socialist payments are a large part of the draw.

Well, to each his own. That's what makes our country great, varying views and ideas and the freedom to express them.

The were no immigration quotas until the 1920's. America was always about the benefit of individual freedom and the understanding that individual freedom is the cornerstone to a healthy and happy society. On that basis, there was a welcoming spirit generally although there has always been those who out of fear or prejudice didn't like the next wave of immigrants. But we ARE a nation of immigrants and we became a good and strong nation built on the freedom of immigrants to live and build their lives as they saw fit.

If what I have said is not true, then explain what isn’t true. If what I have said is true, why do you respond with such venom?

Plenty of people have shown you your lie. We can’t help you pull your head out of your ass if you don’t want to.

If what I’ve said is false, then explain what’s false. If what I’ve said is true, then what’s going on here is a lot of wasted effort that should be spent focusing on taking down the socialist state.

Hmmm, is Rush cutting his (considerable) GOPe ties? I hope so, Kudos to Rush for outing Fox on immigration. Nicely done Rush. Laura sitting in for Billy must not have gotten the memo. Kudos for her too.

Well, again, this is a socialist argument. That's OK, to each his own. It's a big country and (still) a free, where thoughts and ideas can be freely expressed and debated.

I think conservatives, however, should be focused on bringing down the authoritarian socialist state, not arguing based on acquiescing to it.

I googled “One America News” and I am excited about them, I love the Washington Times and if OAN is carried by Direct TV I will drop Fox and give them a try.

You’d be a good Leftist working with the MSM - they don’t argue based on ideas - they just personally attack the non-Leftists.

Yes, but America adopted that spirit by-and-large until the 20th century when America became socialist.

No you are trying to pass off a symbolic statement for a realistic one. You don’t seem to know the difference.

I don’t think so. We’re a nation of immigrants. That’s what America is here for.

I’m not entirely sure you understand the concept of socialism, which is relatively unrelated to immigration policy, unless you have the “we are the world” boob mentality.

Negative. America is here to be the home of individual liberty, freedom, free markets and free minds.

To import people by the millions who believe otherwise is national suicide.
