I am sorry to say that my conservative cousin’s daughter was at the Capitol July 3 in Austin as a protester against this bill. This is an articulate, highly educated mother of 2 who just recently had a heart attack during her first trimester of her second pregnancy. It is beyond me WHY, WHY, women think abortion is a good thing.
She is such a sweet person. She was not brought up to think murdering babies is okay, and with her health issues, I cannot imagine why she is for this. Her heart doctor asked her if she wanted to terminate her pregnancy and she didn’t. So she CHOSE life, but wants all women to have a choice whether it is for life or for murder. She is very liberal, attended UT, married a liberal ad exec, and has voted for Obama twice...
I feel that as a country we are at a crossroads, more so now than ever before. I can’t comprehend the events that are unfolding right in front of us, whether on the international political level or on down to the very personal choices people are making.
