Here comes the cavalry: Big-money GOP groups, donors bolster pro-amnesty Republicans

Business interests want to expand the supply of cheap labor. Republican leaders want a magic bullet that’ll supposedly start to make them competitive again with Latino voters. No one but no one wants the party’s biggest young Latino star to have his presidential hopes dashed before he’s even begun to run — except of course for the handful of jerks like me who think lying bald-faced to your constituents on a key issue to get elected is a dealbreaker.

It’s time for the Republican establishment to say, “Thanks, Marco.”

Fox News viewers in Florida will see a new commercial in the coming weeks urging them to call Senator Marco Rubio. “Thank him for keeping his promise, and fighting to secure the border,” a narrator says in the ad, which is paid for by the conservative American Action Network.

Another group, Americans for a Conservative Direction, led by former Gov. Haley Barbour of Mississippi and other top Republicans, has been running ads in Iowa lately that implore those watching to “stand with Marco Rubio to end de facto amnesty.”…

[M]any of the most powerful and well-financed forces in the party are moving to provide cover for the Florida senator and Republicans like him who are pushing to overhaul the nation’s immigration system…

As the party assesses its chances for the 2016 presidential campaign, many Republican strategists believe that they need as robust a primary field as possible, with more than just one or two viable potential contenders.

Americans for Prosperity also made Rubio the keynote speaker at its annual conference. He’s not the only one benefiting from this PR bankroll— but Rubio’s become the face of reform and therefore has the most to lose as the grassroots backlash builds.

The big GOP money is mostly pro gay marriage, pro abortion, and pro amnesty.

“Business interests” are in for a rude awakening. At the Amnestista fiesta there are going to be two tables. One to register all the new DemocRATS, the other to sign them up as SEIU members. Good luck with that “cheap labor” thing, GOOBs.

Make a list. If at real Third Party gets off the ground its imperative to keep these Big Money Donors and their RINO puppets out or we’ll end up in the same mess.

Haley Barbour, the idiot who pardoned murderers and other criminals without notifying their victims or victims families.

That this idiot is being aided by the GOP is evidence of their stupidity.

The thing that pisses me off is the fact that we protect them from the marxists only to have them turn around and screw us by pimping amnesty.

There’s not doubt now. They are intentionally putting a wedge between conservatives and the old-style go-along, get-along republicans who want to continue the Welfare State. The 2006 immigration reform, the 2007 immigration reform, McCain’s nomination, Romney’s nomination, now immigration reform again. The use of the IRS to dry up wallets so that only moderates or liberals win.

It’s an intentional plan to marginalize, demoralize, and demonize conservative thought. They are rebuilding the American Consensus that was shattered by Goldwater and Reagan. Long live the Thomas Deweys, the George Bushes, the Howard Bakers, the Gerald Fords the Bob Doles and all that think like them.

The real Republican Party exposed. Always ready to appease and sell out to Democrats.

They want our money and our support, but they don’t want our principles. I’m done with the GOP.

How much longer can I allow myself to be played a sucker and keep my self respect? Reagen did the nation a disservice, although not directly his fault. Reagan restored the credibility of the Republican Party, but Reagan was an anomaly, the Republican Party of 2013 is the REAL Republican Party.

I understand abused spouse syndrome now.

I was actually just looking at the big 3 but yes some of the big money GOP donors support other liberal/progressive policies.

One of my favorite big money donors is Foster Freiss. He’s pretty solid on most of the conservative thought but gets a little weak on immigration.

Regan is not the Conservative hero everyone makes him out to be. Abandoning tradional education in favor of “workforce” education, green initiatives, and the agenda 21 project were all begun under his administration. His administration was packed with one-worlders, esp. in the Dept of Ed.
