Sarah Palin Should Start a 'Freedom Party' (within the GOP?)
The Hill ^ | 07/01/13 12:13 PM ET | By Bernie Quigley

Posted on 07/01/2013 4:01:36 PM PDT by drewh

For the first time since the mid 1800s we hear today liberty voices rising from elected state officials including governors. But they're not in D.C.; instead they're in Kansas, Georgia, Michigan, Missouri and dozens of other states, making their own decisions on abortion, guns, constitutional law, ObamaCare, and practically everything.

But no leader yet emerges, and no center. It is, like Pirandello’s play, with actors in search of a theater and a leader.

Actually a leader is emerging: Sarah Palin. But new ideas need new forms to start again the conversation and bring in a new generation. For a fresh start, it should be distanced away from New York, D.C. and Los Angeles, which are all connected to a singular purpose. And it should leave out the decadent establishment press, described recently as “Versailles.” There is little journalism left, only the endless meanderings of adolescent irony, the wink, the nudge and knowing asides of insider jokes and caustic laughter.

There are more than 30 states culturally and politically related today in the center of the country speaking with a single voice. This is American heartland. A conference might be held to look toward a better and more representative future, because this is not about 2016 specifically, but the greater American future.

And regarding 2016, the big Eastern establishment money and influence will all line up behind New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) , and this time, they will not let go. But at every event, Palin brings the crowd to its feet. As a “constitutional conservative,” she could flip the establishment. Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-Ky.) filibuster suggests it is ripe for change. The Bob Dole don’t-trust-anyone-under-70 crowd and the insular Weekly Standard group, which talks so disagreeably to itself, would stay away. But Palin could take the day.

Political parties rise and fall. Whigs, Federalists, anti-Federalists... Perhaps it’s time.

The key is to focus on keep eliminating RINO’s in the primaries. Voting for a RINO is no choice at all...

The Pubbies are the Washington General’s of politics. They aren’t there to win, they are there to make the other t4eam look good.

America’s only hope is for the pubs to go to the ash heap of history. The sooner the better.

Actually, the conservative constituancy has already developed clout.

The Caucus of House Conservatives is not only very alive but is making a difference. It is not Boener’s house any more.

Look at the marchers in Cairo. Why are there no marchers in DC? Because the President consiously destroyed their organizations. He should get up every morning and thank his SS crew for his life.

Not a 3rd party, but within or over RINOs.

Amen to that.....remember Ross Perot? He sank the George Bush's run against Bill Clinton by dividing the party. Every conservative has got to work hard to keep the congress and try for the Senate...this is not the election for a third party it is the election where Republicans must come together to stop the obama machine from hoodwinking the American voter again.....remember this latest $100 million dollar vacation for family and friends - America still needs jobs...he will welcome 20 million illegals (thought is was 11 million didn't you...well it ain't!) into the nation so his cronies will have cheap labor...Obama is like all Thugs around the world who loot their countries before being thrown out of office or leaving in the dead of the night............

So what do you do if the RINO in office doesn't even get a challenger in the primary? I think that is going to happen in too many cases.

Did it bother you at all, that after the first debate Romney, Ryan, and their crack team of consultants did everything in their power to re-elect Obama?

She should start a new party, not try to stay within the framework of the GOP.

Sadly, I can no longer vote for a GOP candidate, they are no longer a Conservative party. If that means dems get elected forever, then so be it. I will no longer vote for the lesser of two evils.

The problem can be solved by purging the North East states from the union.

They are not going away so they must just be kicked out

Had Romney won, he would right now, with the support of "moderate" Republicans, Democrats, and chicken-hearted Republican "conservatives," be advancing and supporting under the Republican banner:

-- Nationalized Health Care
-- Pro Roe v Wade "right" to abortion
-- Global warming regulation to kill American-based energy and food production, not to mention manufacturing
-- Gun control
-- Gays in the military, the Boy Scouts, schools, marriage, and even adoption agencies
-- Activist judges who lean left

Philosophically and in his political record, and most important, morally, in his moral core, Romney was fully on board with the Democrats on ALL of those points. Right now, if you had "won," Romney would be slaughtering conservatives in the Republican party and turning Republicans into duped suckers who voted FOR him to do that (because there is no such thing as voting "against"), and those of us here who pointed at you and all that you voted FOR, after having warned you here that the only thing that counts is what you voted FOR ...

... had we said:

Shhhh, you might hurt their feelings and make them realize what they did..........unfortunately, the thinking part might never happen........

... we would be, sadly, 100 percent correct.

PLEASE START THINKING.

I have sent Sarah Palin more money than ANY other politician. I will NOT follow her out of the Republican party.

We already have a movement within the Republican Party. It’s called the TEA Party. We have had great success in state and local politics and are slowly making headway in the national seats in power.

Obama is like all Thugs around the world who loot their countries before being thrown out of office or leaving in the dead of the night............

All it takes is to look at the "playbook" of every country and state that went full on socialist and it will be so obvious as to what they clowns are doing and intend to do. Sarah Palin is still a force to reckon with. IMO, all she needs to do is rally every possible tea party that she can. The Dems have told us whom they fear and it is the Tea Parties and Patriot parties.

Dearest Finny:

That's delusional.

I'm not suggesting Romney was anyone's first choice here, I'm not suggesting he would have been trustworthy, but...

Anyone who thinks he would have done the same things as the traitorous Marxist is a fool. We can trust what the Marxist will do.

Let me see, who should we vote for, the RINO squish, or the one like Hugo Chavez............oh, I can't think......I can't think......it's such a hard decision.......
