POLL: RUBIO SUPPORT AMONG LATINOS SAME AS ROMNEY
Breitbart ^ | July 1, 2013 | By Mike Flynn

Posted on 07/01/2013 3:29:26 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

A new poll from Latino Decisions finds Democrat Hillary Clinton easily besting Sen. Marco Rubio in a potential presidential match-up among Hispanic voters. Clinton draws 66% of Hispanic voters, while Rubio garners just 28%. Against Vice President Joe Biden, Rubio trails 60-28%. If Rubio's level of support looks familiar, it's probably because Mitt Romney got 27% of the Hispanic vote last November.

Many GOP leaders have convinced themselves that supporting comprehensive immigration reform, with a path to citizenship, is critical in broadening the party's appeal to Hispanics. Sen. Rubio has been a tireless advocate for this position for months and was instrumental in securing passage of the Senate amnesty bill. Yet, in this poll of 1,200 Hispanic presidential election voters, he garners the same level of support as the recent GOP nominee Mitt Romney.

Other high-profile GOP supporters of amnesty fare even worse. Rep. Paul Ryan only draws 25% support against Hillary Clinton. Former FL Governor Jeb Bush earns the support of just 20% of Hispanic voters.

Among Hispanic voters, 31% hold a favorable view of Sen. Rubio, just edging the 29% with an unfavorable view. Rep. Paul Ryan and Jeb Bush are upside down on favorability by 11 and 12 points respectively. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who was an outspoken critic of the Senate amnesty bill, actually has a better net-favorable rating than all three. 25% of Hispanic voters view him favorably, against 20% with an unfavorable view.

The left and the MSM have created the likes of Rubio and McCain etc for the Left’s purpose of bamboozeling the low information voters:

“See? Here is a republican who is latino and supports immigration reform....”

“See? Here is a military hero, republican who is willing to cross the aisle....”

Neither were created by the Right for purposes of the Right

“Legal immigrants want the border enforced and I have left numerous messages for this buffoon telling him so”

My canadian GF has the same mentality. If she and others before her went through the same grueling 10 year process, then why is next generation going to to take the easy road? They, the illegals, should have started the paperwork going once each anchor baby was born or when they step foot into the country.

And a Rubio campaign in 2016 will have the same results as McCain and Romney. That’s why the far left is trying to make Rubio seem inevitable.

Latino-Americans, the legal ones, oppose amnesty. Pandering doesn't attract their vote.

They don't need the competition for jobs, the race to the bottom that the plutocrats sponsoring this amnesty envision.

I don’t think Rubio needed an offer he couldn’t refuse on this one. He was never good on this issue. I just didn’t think he’d be this bad...or this stupid. I thought Rubio would be the first to learn the lessons of the amnesty disaster of 2006 and find a middle ground that conservatives would be comfortable with. I am actually shocked that he stood by this bill all the way to the finish.

When this began a few months ago, I said this would either either make or break Rubio’s career. It would either be a master stroke of finding real common ground or be his downfall. It clearly is the later. Not only do I not want him to be president. I won’t even vote for him again for Senate. It was that bad.

exactly and good luck to your girlfriend.

Letting people in when they break the law is not OK and they should go back to their country and apply for a visa like the legal immigrants do not stay here and get a green card while legals have to wait back in their country on their dime

Benedict Arnold's popularity with the British people never got above that of the American People. He was hated by both sides.

Everyone despises a traitor.

When you become a traitor to one side, the other side never can trust you.

John Semmens-style quote from Rubio...

"I don't understand this," exclaimed Senator Rubio. "Senator Schumer promised me that I would be much more popular if only I voted to throw the borders open to the not-yet-documented, and give each of them someone's job (or welfare), medical care and the vote (actually votes). I guess the joke's on him."

Once If amnesty passes, the rat vote will be higher, so it might actually depress Rubio's numbers.........

Yeah. but Chuckie Shumer says the GOP has to pass the immigration bill in the House in order to save itself from extinction...

And Nacy Pelosi agrees with Schmucky, so it's gotta be true.

1. Do what's right and treat everyone equally.

2. Don't play racial or identity politics.

3. If in doubt, reread #1.
