Even the name “Jeb” conjures up white racist, redneck, hillbilly, Johnny Reb, NRA, macho male, homophobic associations for most of liberal America. No, nobody will support another Bush and if that's all the Republicans are offering then it's, hello Hilliary...

Yeah. Let’s let Time suggest who the leading non-Democrat candidate might be.

I detest Jeb Bush. He will lose badly if nominated. You can’t out-liberal a real liberal. They are simply better at being a liberal than a liberal who fakes trying to be a conservative.

He’s done the work, been a governor—a very fine governor, I might add

Terry Schaivo would disagree.

If Jeb Bush was my choice, I’d stay home. And I’m usually one of those folks who LIVES for election day, one of the first to the polls, etc.

At that point, I would assume that votes just didn’t matter anymore, that the establishment selected the candidates, and our country was dead.

Recall 2008: McCain, Romney and Huckbee

Then in 2012 we got Romney, Newt and Santorum as a choice.

Figure 2016 will be a gem line-up like Rubio, Bush and Christie.

This will surprise a lot of people, but I have decided to support Jeb Bush running for president.

As long as he changes his party affiliation, I see no problem with it.

The elites are testing out candidates so will say "compared to Jeb, Christie's okay" or "Jeb...anyone but Rubio" etc. I get it. They have a play-card of A LOT of sellouts who they're coaching to say the right things (pun intended) so we find them acceptable. Even Palin, who in the past was compromised by McCain is a question mark.

I'm at a point where I'll trust Rand Paul and Ted Cruz as the two who can sell constitutional conservatism to the US. I suspect the global ptb are saying "anyone but them".

Jeb Bush’s “turn”? You mean the idiotic RNC will nominate another horrible candidate just because they have “put in their time”? Just like Bob Dole, John McCain, and Mitt Romney? LOL, they really enjoy losing, don’t they? Oh well, losers get replaced soon enough. The GOP probably won’t outlive me, at this rate.

Looks like the answer on FreeRepublic is a resounding NO. Too funny. I didn't see a single post in support. Did I miss anything?

Of course, it really doesn't matter what conservatives think. The GOPe will make sure that one again, its candidate is chosen by liberal, northeastern establishment voters in states with 'open' primaries and the MSM. The MSM will be out there declaring 'winners', 'losers', and 'frontrunners' based on their skewed liberal perceptions.

You got that part right. That's why there won't be a viable candidate for conservatives in 2016 or ever.

Unless of course the fix is in for the Dem candidate and the fixers WANT an easily defeated Republican.

Anyone know a Repub who would not be defeated?

I was convinced at one time that our votes didn’t count. Then I went back to wasting my time voting. Now I KNOW my vote doesn’t count. I’ve voted for the lessor of two evils twice in a row and I still got evil.

I knew a guy years ago who said “I don’t vote. It just encourages the sons of bitches.” Now I know what he meant.

Our slogan re Jeb Bush should be “Go, Jeb, Go, AWAY and Stay that Way”
