Of all the prophets of the old covenant, perhaps none today suffers from more neglect in relation to his importance for the New Testament than Habakkuk...
Habakkuk served God, noting clearly when His law was broken and His justice perverted...
Habakkuk complains about Jehoiakims evil and the complicity of Judahs ruling class in todays passage. His complaints are heart-wrenching, flowing from the lips of one who saw the wicked prospering and wondered if perhaps the Lord had forgotten His righteous servants...

Never lose faith. He is with us. He will never leave us, even to the end of the age.
amen brother. thanks for posting this.
Also interesting to note that since God is timeless, what would seem like a lifetime of suffering for us is infinitely minimal to Him. He knows all that has come to pass and all that will come to pass. God can never leave you in this life. To do so would be logically inconsistent with His nature. He is everywhere.
He has seen the rise and fall of humanity’s most innovative and most backward civilizations. He has seen the strongest empires, the most hedonistic countries, the most barbaric tribes. He has seen liberty, and He has seen tyranny. He has seen his faithful prosper and flourish before they crash and burn.
But do not despair. All is reasoned. We have made our own fate through our own choices in this world. This is not some cosmological chaos, it is simply the painful but fleeting test of our conviction.
Draw close to God, strengthen your will, and pray for guidance. May the Holy Spirit move you to the greatest ends a man can achieve. Not in wealth, pleasure, status or even minor comfort in this life, but in the eternity beyond.
