Gowdy: ‘The Senate bill is not going to pass the House’

Full title: Sunday Show Roundup: Gang of Eight Optimistic Gowdy: ‘The Senate bill is not going to pass the House’

Sponsors of the “Gang of Eight” Immigration Bill expressed confidence that their legislation can pass the House of Representatives, despite the challenges it will face.

“I believe that by the end of this year, the House will pass the Senate bill,” said Sen. Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) on Fox News Sunday. “I know that’s not what they think now and I know they’ll say oh no, that’s not what’s going to happen, but I think it will.”

Schumer cited support of groups, such as the Catholic Church and the business community, who “don’t typically side with Democrats.” Schumer’s comments came during an appearance on Fox News Sunday.

Sen. John McCain (R., Az.) joined Schumer in arguing the bill would pass.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R., S.C.) told FOX News Sunday, “I’m more interested in doing it right than on Senator Schumer’s schedule.”

“The Senate bill is not going to pass the House. It’s not going to pass for a myriad of reasons.” Gowdy reiterated, “The issue is not the broad principles of the immigration reform and humanity and respect for the rule of law. Virtually everyone agrees on the broad principles, where we get ourselves into a little bit of a difference of opinions are the details.”

“Everyone agrees on border security for instance, but I can not sell, in South Carolina, a border security plan where the security comes after the legalization … nor would I try to sell any of those plans,” Gowdy noted.

Doesn’t matter.

What DOES matter is the bill that results from the Conference Committee. That committee will likely have more liberal appointees. That is the bill to watch for. Members from both Chambers can hide their dirty stuff deep inside it.

I’m beginning to believe the rumors that Hussein has acquired information on these people through his spying and is using it to blackmail them. Nothing else makes sense.

I'm beginning to believe this also. That's why those fools in the Senate are so outspoken. What a cesspool we have in D.C.

Poor Marco. He didn’t even get to take a winning lap on the Sunday morning news talkie programs. McCain and Schumer did, however.

Rubio will find that the Gang no longer needs him. That ‘useful’ tool has passed his expiration date.

Pelosi said. “I believe that the members of Congress … will do what is right for our country, and it certainly right for Republicans if they ever want to win a presidential race.”

My goodness, another Dim looking out for the best interest of Republicans and their future presidential prospects. I just never realized so many Dims cared about the future success of Republicans in presidential races.

Schumer just lies when he says all those people support it. No one challenges him or asks him where he gets his info. Wouldn’t surprise me if the Catholics supported it. They are a liberal group.

Yes. This was McLame and Schumer’s show all along. Gayham and Rubeio were just window dressing.

Really deep. Like page 2.

We know from past experiences that few of the Senators or Representatives will read that far.

The Catholic Church has been running interference for the Democratic Party since, at least, my seminary days 45 years ago. The Catholic Church has finally reaped what it sowed by Democrats ramming gay marriage and abortion down our throats. The Church is feeling the utter contempt of Obama and Company the same way the black community has all these years.

The Democratic Party has destroyed the black subculture in this country. Yet blacks still flock to them nine times out of every ten.

The Conference of Catholic Bishops is a lame set of leaders for our Church. They accepted that fat drunken serial killing enabling blob from Massachusetts and even gave him a Catholic send off.

To this day they can't summon the backbone to ex-communicate Pelosi and Biden. Pretty lame outfit, IMHO.

You can be stuff will be released on Gowdy like it was released on Romney. Not only will Gowdy be targeted bur any Republican that has caused the Democrats problems. Look for stuff to come out on Cruz also. 2012 was, such as it was, the last free election that will be held in the United States. From this point on, Any Republican that makes it into ogffice will have tactic Democrat approval. Those the Democrats do not approved will be destroyed by information on them made available to the Democrat controlled media.

Catholics? They are AGAINST abortion and same-sex marriage. Sure they believe in feeding the poor, (Do you have any idea how many people Catholic Charities feed each year?) but they don’t approve of letting cut throats, murderers and rapists cross our borders.

This is the bill that the House should vote on; short and sweet, 1)secure the border 2)round up all the law-breakers(those who came here illegally) and send them back to where they came from.
