It is obvious in retrospect that only an external attack like that on 7/22 could have saved the Palin presidency. Without it, would any of what followed have happened? I doubt it. The Democrats would have recaptured both the White House and Senate that fall. The culture wars would have simmered on, but the evangelical movement’s momentum on the path toward political power would have been lost. I would be installed in my corner office downtown, practicing law. I would probably have children with Emilie. I might be having dinner with Sanjay tonight instead of sitting here with people I really don’t know, trying to remember and record all that happened since then.
But 7/22 did happen. It was truly horrible, and the American people were understandably scared and angry. 7/22 opened a door, and Sarah Palin walked through it.
On July 24, 2012, President Palin, for only the second time in the history of the republic, declared martial law over the entire country. Instead of appearing alone in a televised address from the formality of the Oval Office, she addressed the nation from the situation room in the basement of the White House flanked by all the Joint Chiefs of staff, with Vice President Sam Brownback and top consultant Steve Jordan the only civilians present. The frightening thing is that liberals are so psychologically unreflective, that they don’t know that their own fears of conservative totalitarianism are actually projections of what they themselves would do.
The issue is the establishment got scared shiftless when they saw that someone with a true and proven records of cleaning up corruption (Palin in Alaska as governor). They they saw their own corrupt days in jeopardy when she got into a position where she wasn’t just cleaning up corruption in some “po dunk state” and all the insiders pooped a collective brick and that is when everyone that supports corruption went heavily negative on Palin!!!

Obama is president, so why is Salon giving space to an excerpt from a book about a non-existent Palin presidency? it almost seems that they WANT there to be a conservative Theocracy, so as to reinforce the accuracy of their paranoia. These are mentally damaged people. WITHOUT THE COOPERATION OF THE MSM, no tyranny is possible, and the MSM would definitely harass a President Palin from day one. But for Obama, they just spread their legs - or, should I say?, bend over.

I remember reading the comments of one liberal who claimed something along the lines of “Democratic men are more faithful to their wives than Republican men are to their wives.” Uh, Bill Clinton? FDR? LBJ? Anyone with the last name Kennedy? Never let the truth and reality interfere with their liberalism.

If I understand, which is doubtful, the string theory of professor Michio Kaku basically says that anything you can imagine already exists in one of an infinite number of alternate realities. Apparently liberals live in an alternate reality but are observable in my reality, how else could a person who is supposedly educated believe that Joe Biden is intelligent and Sarah Palin is the idiot?
The Evangelicals are the liberal Democrats stauchest opponents so the Dems are scared to death of them. Same thing for the Tea Party and the gun rights people. They have their brainwashed college students in their classrooms all day so they can fill their heads with North Korean style brainwashing.
I am trying to picture in my mind mainstream media news announcers trying to read the news about President Palin as their faces twitch and turn bright red with anger.
