Egyptian security and medical officials say an American has been killed in the Mediterranean coastal city of Alexandria during clashes between supporters and opponents of Egypt's embattled President Mohammed Morsi.

Alexandria security chief Gen. Amin Ezz Eddin told Al-Jazeera TV that an American was killed Friday in Sidi Gabr Square while photographing the battles between opposition youth and members of the Muslim Brotherhood, from which Morsi hails.

A medical official told The Associated Press the American was wounded by gunshots and died at the hospital.

Six Egyptians have been killed in days of clashes ahead of nationwide protests Sunday demanding Morsi's removal.

The State Department said Friday that Americans should defer nonessential travel to Egypt, citing the uncertain security situation. It also said it would allow nonessential staff and the families of personnel at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo to leave Egypt until conditions improve.

They love death more than they love their children.

Apparently they’re all nuts.

I wouldn’t go near Egypt after the massacre of tourists in 1997.

I have friends who have gone since then, though, and they loved it.

I just posted this on the other thread:

“This is the beginning of the end of Morsi and his Moslem Brotherhood in Egypt.

0b0z0 can’t and won’t save him. If anyone attacks the American embassy it would be 0b0z0’s allies, aka, the Moslem Brotherhood when they realize that American support ain’t coming and that they’re dropped like the sack of shit that they really are!

Just sayin’”

You wrote:

“So why don’t these people stop the sectarian stuff? Sunni, Shia?”

The pro and against Morsi are BOTH Sunni. The majority of Egyptians want Morsi out for the same reasons that we want 0b0z0 out. Simply put, he’s ruining the country and more so, he’s turning into Iran unlike 0b0z0 who’s destroying Christianity.

Opposite but similar! Meaning both are not acceptable to the two population, theocracy or destruction of religion? NONE IS ACCEPTABLE.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to give youthe “fake but accurate” treatment, but it applies in the comparison.

Protests are rocking Turkey, Egypt is about to explode, and a civil war is raging in Syria — so where is our Secretary of State?

John Kerry has been holding meetings in Israel with Benjamin Netanyahu about restarting the Israeli-Palestinian peace process in order to bring peace to the only region of the Middle East where peace actually exists at the present time.

Millions in Egypt recognize what is going on for what it is...and they are trying to stand up to the despotic, Extremist Islamic Rule

This administration stood by...and assisted these tyrants when they overthrew a leader who was friendly to us and who had kept the peace with Israel for decades...and worked with us to fight Islamic Extremism.

Now, Obama is preparing to send our US Marines in to help keep these animals retain power?

I pray to God in Heaven that the people of Egypt overthrow Morsi and torch every Islamic Brotherhood office...and that the Egyptian military ends up supporting those people in this fight. Because whomever the Egyptian military supports is who is going to win out.

And many, many of the officers in the Egyptian military have been trained and schooled here. I do not think they want an Iranian type regime in power there. At least I pray it is so.

I wonder how many ordinary Egyptians are secretly clinging for the days of Mubarak?

These cornballs (ZObama and Kerry) actually beliebve that if Israel can be defanged, Egypt, Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Libya and Iran will all become peace-loving nations.

That's literally what they think. They're actually that ignorant.

I wanted to see the sites before the country collapse.

Good move. It's only a matter of time before the MB destroys them.

75% of the vote went to Islamists. Some Egyptians obviously want Morsi out, but I would hesitate to call them the majority.

During the Shah's rule, probably the entire Iranian officer corps was trained in the West, with Saint Cyr, West Point and Sandhurst each getting some. And we know how that turned out.

Totally predictable.

Much less than 75% for Morsi. I believe it was in the low 50s in a stolen election. However, 20 mil signed petitions to throw him out, culminating in the events come Sunday.

By the latest accounts, Morsi lost the support of 8 million out of 14 million, I believe.

He’s gone together with all his beards. The MB passed the point of no return in Egypt.

It’s a matter of time and unfortunately, lots of blood.
