U.S. Stands Behind Policy on Contraceptive Coverage

Despite strong resistance from religious organizations, the Obama administration said Friday that it was requiring most employers to provide free insurance coverage of contraceptives for women, a decision that has touched off a furious legal and political battle likely to rage for another year.

After considering more than 400,000 comments, administration officials refused to budge on the change that grew out of the overhaul of the health care law. The final rule, they said, is very similar to their proposal that figured prominently into last year’s elections as Democrats pressed their advantage with female voters.

Democrats describe the mandate for coverage of birth control as one of the chief benefits of the 2010 health care law, a boon to women and their health.

Such a moronic statement, because the women so poor they can't afford a couple of dollars a week on their own contraception are also too indifferent and too stupid to use it properly and consistently.

I liken increased contraception intended to "reduce pregnancy and disease" to giving those who like to play Russian Roulette rubber bullets and a revolver with a few more chambers added to the cylinder to make it "safer." It isn't going to happen.

Just wait’ll they make it mandatory for women to use contraceptives and or abort.

China should not be upset that the Obamas were spying on them. The White House is just looking for tips on how to be more like China. Don’t Barry and Michelle look like folks who want to emulate the Chinese and their one child policy? That’s why homosexual marriage is so important to nutty envirowhackos like Barry and Michelle. Homosexuals don’t reproduce without going through some nasty chemical treatments that will kill them by age 55 and having donors here and there. Homosexuals make the whole breeding process soooooo complicated and expensive. They should be forbidden fertility treatments and surrogates. (not to go off topic or anything)

Elections have consequences. Perhaps free morning after pills is just 0bama's way of saying 'thank you' to the ladies who put him in office.

Any woman who voted for Obama because of the Baby-Killing support is a fool, who has been duped by men into being used for sex, and then leaving them to handle the consequences afterward.

Marriage rates are way down, because women give away their most intimate self, in a fun-packed foolishness they think is their "Right", while men use them and walk away.

I thought women were smarter than that, but I've been shown otherwise by the majority of them.

We are rapidly approaching the time when women are the primary earners. They are, currently, vastly over-represented in higher education than men.

Why should they worry?
