The Bishops had their chance. They could have ordered all Pastors to take to their pulpits in the weeks leading up to the election to instruct their flock that you can NOT vote to re-elect this man and remain a Catholic in good standing
Instead they chose to cower in the corner and post cryptic statements in bulletins and on parish websites.

The solution was to vote for the Mormon who endorsed both gay marriage and signed Romneycare into MA?
The problem isn’t that the Church failed to attack Obama - the problem is that Republicans have failed the Church.
I do not see how electing a pro abortion Mormon is superior to the Kenyan, except that the Kenyan preserves a party of resistance.

Had this been done, as you suggest, the outcome would’ve been nearly the same. The so-called Catholics supporting Obama resent the Church telling them how to vote. They vote with organized labor or the anti-war camp exclusively, the latter as some misguided following of what they believe to be the enactment of Catholic social justice in the culture. They haven’t a clue what it truly means live their faith...
