OK, I understand. You’re not a serious person. I’m content to let you rest secure in your ignorance.

I got this far:

I see your concerns, maybe there were times things have gotten out of hand on the side of the homosexual lobby, heck, you have hotheads on both sides.

Hotheads on the "marriage means a man and a woman" side? Gimme a freaking break.

Thank you, libertarians, for contributing to the crashing and burning of our country. Take a bow!

Thanks for the history of the DOMA.

Dopers and libertarians can’t think so they won’t have a clue what your comment means, but the rest of us get it.

Today has been a black, black day. And seeing libertarians attacking the side of truth and covering up for the perverts and tyranny while falsely hiding behind the skirts of the Constitution makes me want to vomit.

Of course the SCROTUS said that equal protection applies, but they are as stupid and perverted as you are.

Just because someone likes to commit sodomy doesn’t make him a member of a class of people that deserve “equal protection” under the law solely because they like to commit sodomy.

Next up - pedophiles, bestiality afficianos, necrophiliacs, and incest practitioners.

I’m finished with you. I’d rather clean up catcrap that debate with knaves.

"Who should decide what marriage is, churches only?"

The people involved in the Union. I know its a radical idea and all but really why does anyone else need to be involved UNLESS the people entering into the Union wish it?

"Of course the SCROTUS said that equal protection applies"

Yes amazing isn't it. The Fedgov gives monetary consideration based on marital status and then everyone is surprised that SCOTUS uses the Equal Protection clause to rule on the issue.

Its like being astonished that when you stick your hand in the fire you get burned.

Now here is the question. "If the Fedgov hand not tried to Social Engineer Matrimony by giving monetary consideration based on such and stayed out of the issue entirely would the Sodomites been able to lobby SCOTUS and get a ruling for equal protection under the law?

And there is the meat of the matter. There would have been no issue. Nothing for SCOTUS to rule on, no legal issue to adjudicate.

QED

The Libs are infiltrating every aspect of their enemies domain. They are spies and they need to be called out and kicked out.

"The reason for DOMA was that gay activists attempting to pass gay "marriage" in Hawaii told supporters and contributors that once gay "marriage" was approved there, gay "marriage"s performed in Hawaii would have to be recognized in every other state (because of the FFC Clause.)"

And the reason the Gay Activists were able to get consideration for Gay Marriage in the first place was because:

Wait for it...

Wait for it...

The Fedgov gives monetary Consideration based on Marital Status.

No Monetary Consideration, No special Fedgov privileges based on Marital Status no issue for the courts to rule on. Instead DOMA was the big fat hanging curve ball that the gay activists crushed out of the park.

Bottom Line: Give Government power over something and they will destroy it.

Don't believe me? See Fedgov in Education, Charity (A.K.A. Welfare), Medical Care, Business, Housing, and now Marriage...

So there is no actual thing defined as marriage, it is just what anybody wants to stick the label to?

A sorority house can just have one big happy marriage of all it's members?

To be clear it was about the State of New York which does what you say not The Federal Gov. New York and any State could do what they wish. Where you live matters in the “United” States of America.

"So there is no actual thing defined as marriage..."

As far as the Government goes yes.

BECAUSE if they get to define it then they control it.

Seriously is it that hard to understand?

That is one of many reasons why I’ll NEVER be a Libertarian. I’m a conservative and proud of it.

Seriously is it that hard to understand?

Evidently, since marriage law has always been in place, for thousands of years and throughout all cultures and societies, and all of American history.

I'm not aware of any tribe or nation anywhere that has had your view of marriage, which is, that everybody just make up their own version.
