Rush spent many hours of his program over the years telling us this was going to happen. What next in the scheme of perverted sex will be on the table ... ?

Justice Scalia predicted this in his dissent in Lawrence v. Texas, which struck down sodomy laws in the U.S. He said that if the Court refused to uphold state laws that are based on morality then laws against incest, adultery, homosexuality, polygamy, bestiality, pornography, etc. would crumble.

This will go on until until government starts losing money off it(as when people start “marrying” their children to avoid inheritance taxes). Then you’ll see Democrats screaming about “the sacred institution of marriage”.

What business does the government have telling me how many wives I can have?

I should be able to have as many as I can afford, a harem.

Next I expect to see a non-cable sitcom or drama with a polygamous main characters. All apart of the normalization process.

“Big Love” and “Sister Wives” weren’t that well received on cable, were they?

Slippery slope? I would frankly consider polygamy a step up. There is at least some biological sense to the arrangement.

Its a slow re-education process.
Didn’t see alot of gays on tv then boom every sitcom had them in it.

I’ve never seen gay marriage as a “slippery slope”, it is a complete break, it is the realization of another libertarian victory to add to the 50 year string of them.

Once we have “gay marriage” then what we are really saying is that it is all up to whatever consenting adults want, polygamy has to follow, as will all other variations.

Yet for what sounds so easy to you, has been rejected by Western civilization, always.

Personally I’m looking forward to this, getting kind of tired of my old wife and would like to liven things up with a model with 20 years less mileage on it. Just can’t afford the alimony so this solves that little problem, just move the old bag to the spare bedroom, maybe service her once a month or so just for old times sake and have a ton of fun with the new one! You just have to learn to enjoy the decline, there’s a silver lining in every dark cloud!

Then what business does the govt have forcing the citizens to support and service homosexual behavior lawfully defined as marriage?

You keep them away from one another.

Not sure why you replied to me but polygamy has horrific consequences for society; it would literally mean the end of western civilization

Exactly!

Why is government in the marriage business at all, except for the recording of the events?

One of the drawbacks of polygamy is that it does not build the nuclear family (one man, one woman, and their children) as a political unit.

Yes, because we have a nation run by lawyers. If we legalize all sorts of "marriage," the money from divorce and probate cases is going to be ASTRONOMICAL.

This drive for new definitions of "marriage" started picking up bigtime when stats showed conclusively that heterosexual couples were living together more and more without benefit of marriage. Not a good thing for divorce lawyers.

Gay couples and polygamists literally begging to be married would provide a bonanza for the legal industry. As they say, follow the money.
