Eric Fanning, the acting secretary of the U.S. Air Force and the first openly homosexual to hold the post, touted how gay pride events were being celebrated around the globe, including in Afghanistan. Fanning said he wanted to give a shout-out to all the other DOD Pride events at the Department of Defenses LGBT Pride Month event at the Pentagon on Tuesday.

This is not the DOD pride event, Fanning said. They're all over the world, including in Kandahar and Bagram this week in Afghanistan. The U.S. State Departments country report on Afghanistan for 2012 says, The law criminalizes consensual same-sex sexual conduct activity, and there were reports that harassment, violence, and detentions by the police increased significantly during the year. No law exists to address discrimination or harassment on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. Homosexuality was widely seen as taboo and indecent. Organizations devoted to the protection or exercise of freedom of sexual orientation remained underground. We call these pride events as a way of demonstrating that we are proud of the progress we've made as a community, but I know for all of us here in the Pentagon and across the department, there is a different meaning, a larger meaning, said Fanning, who served in the Clinton administration as an associate director of political affairs. We are proud that we are able to serve as part of the military, in or out of uniform, proud that we are able to contribute to this great mission of protecting our nation, Fanning said.
If the government posts a video encouraging “Gay pride” in Afghanistan and Islamists riot, will Obama demand accountability from the filmmakers for the riot?
This is the same military that burned bibles so as not to offend the Taliban.
All animals are equal. Some are more equal than others.
Eric Fanning, you are twisted
Took me longer but I drew the same conclusion.
so we have to tell the tribal peoples of Afghanistan that they need to celebrate diversity???
Why do gays say they want to celebrate diversity, but actually celebrate their own sexual behavior at gay pride events? They aren’t celebrating other sexuality, they are only celebrating their own.
Anybody who does anything besides think about homosexuals at all times and thank God for how lucky we are to have them is sick.
Put a queer in charge and let the party begin. Sad, so sad.
I will be silenced by the PC police, but homosexuality is not exactly honored and celebrated in many parts of the world. Yet we want to make this a centerpiece of gaining respect and honor for America around the world, by pushing homosexuality?
To paraphrase Hillary, gay rights are human rights. Much of world disagrees, and may well think that we want to shove it down their throats. Is that really good for America’s image abroad????
What a moron.
To think that the Secretary of the Air Force sucks penises and has anal sex...YUK! What has nobama wrought on America?
Up is Down, Right is Wrong, Bad is Good.
The End of the World came and went, and nobody noticed.
0bama isn't the cause, but he is a symptom of a country in rapid decline.
0bama sure knows how to motivate the enemy to want to kill us even more. Hey wait.. Maybe that’s the point. Go to hell, Fannying.
Secretary Fanny also called for the creation of the Air Force rank of Rear Admiral.
How well did it work for the raped Ambassador
on assignment for Huma, Clinton, Obama and al Qaeda?
Our dead soldiers at Arlington are spinning so fast in their graves that if we could hook up generators to their corpses, we could solve our energy problem instantly.
