Russia Rejects US Demand for Snowden's Extradition

MOSCOW — Russia's foreign minister has rejected U.S. demands to extradite National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden, who has apparently stopped in Moscow while trying to evade U.S. justice.

Sergey Lavrov said that Snowden hasn't crossed the Russian border and insisted that Russia has nothing to do with him, his relations with U.S. justice or his travel plans.

Speaking at a news conference Tuesday, he angrily lashed out at the U.S. demands for the extradition and warnings of negative consequences if Moscow fails to comply.

Lavrov said that accusing Russia of "violation of U.S. laws and even some sort of conspiracy" with regard to Snowden is "absolutely ungrounded and unacceptable."

...

Edward Snowden's stop-and-start flight across the globe appeared to stall in Moscow as the United States ratcheted up pressure to hand over the National Security Agency leaker who had seemed on his way to Ecuador to seek asylum.

In Ecuador's most extensive statement about the case, the foreign minister hailed Snowden on Monday as "a man attempting to bring light and transparency to facts that affect everyone's fundamental liberties."

The decision whether to grant Snowden the asylum he has requested is a choice between "betraying the citizens of the world or betraying certain powerful elites in a specific country," Foreign Minister Ricardo Patino told reporters while visiting Vietnam.

“In 2000, Soros nearly destroyed the Russian economy by selling the Rouble short and deflating its value from $0.166 to $0.033, almost overnight.”

About 99% of the Russia bashers are completely ignorant about that. Soros has hired a half-dozen PR firms to spit out lies and propaganda about Russia that are picked by Soros organizations and distributed to the leftist media. Then the people who read this crap become useful idiots for Soros and Hillary.

It should also be noted that Putin signed a warrant for the arrest of Soros. A number of Soros henchmen have been indicted, and some of the useful idiots are lauding them as heroes.

While George Bush was President, much of the world may not have liked the United States, but at least they respected the United States. Now they do neither.

US voters wanted change. They got change. Putin will be playing with the big-eared doofus like a kitten with a ball of string for the next 3 1/2 years.

Why am I rooting for a traitor?

HeHe! I know what you mean. Me, I've been on the fence as to whether this man is a traitor or "hero" since day one. I'm not exactly rooting for him but I'm not rooting for the other side either.

Maybe he is a traitor who just happened to leak information that made him look like he was on the side of the American people since the information was exposing Obama to be the tyrant that he is against "his" own people.

Maybe this man's actions were not to help the American people but to hurt the US Government, it just so happens that the first info he leaked exposed Obama as a tyrant and the American people as the victim.

Either way, no matter how innocent he may be it does make me nervous that he's flying around the world with laptops of data of US secrets that either could given out for the right price or secrets worth killing for.

This circus is not just exposing Obama as a tyrant but a weak "leader" on the international stage.

The only leadership tool Obomba has at his disposal is the race card. Putin, however, doesn’t accept that card.

That would make the ultimate SNL skit. Putin rejecting Obama’s requests (Snowden, arms, trade, etc...) and Obama saying “it’s because I’m black, isn’t it.”

SNL would have done something like this back in the 70s when they were still funny.

Not surprising that a place like Ecuador has to school the likes of the Obama administration. But it's the world we live in.

“Why am I rooting for a traitor?”

Exactly what did he say or do that makes him a “traitor”?

Last I heard, all he had done was tell everyone that Hussein’s administration was illegally collecting data on Americans.

No?

Does the term “whistleblower” now unequivocally mean “traitor”?

And Poot also doesn't care whether Chrissy Matthews blathers on about "racist dog whistles," either.

I am having a great case of schadenfreude over this. Obama SO deserves this international humiliation. It's beautiful.

I understand that, from Hussein’s playpals, but there seems to be a large group of people here who unquestionably use that term to describe Snowden, and I’m trying to understand why.

Obama has made the USA into the monty python prancing soldiers.

The rest of the world sees the us military as feminized men and homosexuals. Obama as a impotent buffoon. The state department has homosexual party animals easily compromized.

There is nothing to respect or fear.
