Americans are individualistic, and have grown increasingly resistant to organizing over the years. Low-skilled third-world types are much more amenable. The unions want to get them legal and organized as quickly as possible to get that dues money flowing. All about perks for the leadership (and laundering money for the Dems)

I doubt the rank and file union members even know how screwed they’ll be. The union bosses love it, though, since their main job is to collect dues and RAT votes. The wetbacks will oblige without asking questions, and the mega-corporations will get plenty of cheap labor.
