How can it not be getting close
We Orthodox celebrated the Feast of Holy Penetecost (which is also the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity) this past weekend. This entire week (which is fast-free) is dedicated to the Holy Trinity.
How dare these heretics and muslim-appeasers choose Trinity Week to spew their blasphemous and demon-inspired poison!!!! They are following in the footsteps of the arch-heretics Arius and Muhammad!!!!
May the Most Holy and Life-Creating Spirit turn them from their evil ways, and bring them into Christ’s holy flock!!!!
With Pentecost and Trinity Week taking precedence over everything else, two important commemorations are being “buried” —the Nativity of the Holy Glorious Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist John, and The Holy Glorious and All-Praised Leaders of the Apostles, Peter and Paul.
Serbian Vidovdan is on the 28th, but we shall be celebrating it on Sunday June 30, which is All Saints Sunday. How appropriate!!!!
The only place Islam stands...is on the throat of the
unbeliever.
Determining whether muslims worship the same God as Christians and Jews is a tricky business.
Arab Christians (many of whose ancestors were forced to take an Arab identity when their lands were conquered by islam) call God “Allah”. The muslims delight in reminding us of that fact, to “prove” that they worship the same God as we do.
However, what is the “Allah” of the Qur’an and other islamic scriptures like?

....The Quran boasts that Allah is the master of all scheming (Quran 13:42) and that he is profound in his machinations (Quran 8:30)....
In other words, the “Allah” of the Qur’an is the father of lies!!!!!
Who does that sound like?
This "adjustment" is particularly odious. An otherwise firmly trinitarian verse is subverted to the point where it implies a denial of the divinity of both Christ and the Holy Spirit. Christ isn't just "God's messiah" and the Holy Spirit isn't just "God's Holy Spirit"... Christ is God and the Holy Spirit is God as well. This is an essential teaching of the Christian faith.
It is one thing to clarify the teachings of scripture so as to make them accessible to all cultures, so long as those clarifications are done in an orthodox manner. It is quite another, however, to modify the essence of scripture so that it might be more acceptable to the world and its ways. Scripture itself prophecies the fate of those who attempt such a woeful endeavor.
