On Meet the Press this morning host David Gregory asked Greenwald if he should be prosecuted for a crime for aiding and abetting Snowden. Greenwald ripped Gregory for this and forced Gregory to backpedal.
“To the extent that you have aided and abetted Snowden, even in his current movements. Why shouldn’t you, Mr. Greenwald, be charged with a crime?”
Greenwald ripped him apart.

I would have asked Gregory why he wasn’t charged with a felony for having a hi-cap magazine in DC.
If banality was a crime Gregory would be a felon.
Then the weasel questions who is a journalist. What do you want Gregory? A Federal journalist license?
Where is it written the journalists should get special treatment anyway?
I think Gregory backed into this world and never turned around. There is so much wrong with his question, it’s hard to know where to start . . .
I think it was a fair question. If James Rosen is considered a co-conspirator for writing about something that EVERYBODY already knew was going on, why shouldn’t Greenwald?
Because it has and is stifling any whistle blowers from coming forward for fear of being considered the same.

Agree. Peter King was advocating it so it was a legit question. That Gregory backed off was shame on him.

Gregory displayed a loaded magazine illegal in DC, on his DC set, why isn’t he in jail?
Gregory is pushing more controversial garbage in front of the all important content of Snowden’s release. It’s not the press, it’s not Snowden, it’s the fact that a regime hostile to our Constitution and economy is spying on its enemies.
I said right up front that Snowden was likely far left but he apparently values our First Amendment. It seems like he is going to Ecuador like Assange wants too. He has some nasty friends who only have an interest in American freedom of speech. However don’t let this obscure what the Feds and Obama are doing to us.
