you can ask anyone you want for a large deposit ~ it’s a common practice in the cake racket

True..but in this ‘tort driven society’ some lawyer will figure out a pattern etc...

Like if I do ALL the driveways in your neighborhood and demand deposits from some but not all I am in for ‘trouble’. Especially if one I ‘demand’ a deposit from is a Minority, Single Female, Same Type Couple, etc...

Now if I were to pick YOU out I could get away with saying you had a ‘bad track record’ and I didn’t ‘like your looks’, and since you are a white, straight male I would be okay. <: <: <:

An easy way for the bakery to deal with this is to simply say.

“Our schedule is full, we don’t have the time slots available to do that job”

Then schedule that day as a vacation or something so it isn’t a lie.

A business cannot be sued for refusing a job it cannot do
