Dear GCO Member,
This email is being resent to correct errors in the previous email. Apologies to all.
We reported yesterday that Mayor Bloomberg's Mayor's Against Illegal Guns (MAIG) bus will visit Atlanta, Monday, June 24 at 11:30 AM at the Georgia State Capitol. We also reported that the web site for Demand Action is stating the No More Names stop for Atlanta will be at 11:30 AM at the Georgia State Capitol as well.
However, after checking the Georgia State Capitol's Event Calendar, the rally, according to their calendar, is scheduled for 9:00 AM Monday morning. Obviously, one of these times scheduled is incorrect. The Capitol Events Calendar can be found here.
We are certain the Press Conference will be held at 11:30 AM at the same location. Since the Press Conference is the most important portion of the program, those who do not have a lot of time to spend downtown may want to arrive around 10:30 AM and attend the Press Conference. Those who have the time and want to be there for the complete program may want to arrive around 9:00 AM.
The rally will be on the Northwest side of the Capitol facing Washington Street. This is the same place where the previous armed rallies have been held.
As you probably know from our past armed rallies, the Capitol Police (GSP) are well aware of the Georgia Gun Laws and welcome us there. In fact, some members of the GSP have told us they love to see us coming because we make their jobs easy as people up to no good leave the area when they see our guns.
As always, we want to be peaceful and not antagonistic in any way. We would like to have several hundred armed persons in attendance wearing "Guns Save Lives" buttons and acting in a responsible manner. We do not want to see anyone on our side arrested. As usual, our reason for being there is for others to note that not everyone is for gun control and that law abiding gun owners always act responsibly.
Apparently Mayor Bloomberg does not realize that law-abiding citizen's are also against illegal guns. Unfortunately, the Mayor's definition of illegal and that of law-abiding gun owning citizens is totally different. The Mayor seems to feel that the only people with guns that should be legal are the bodyguards of the rich and famous, law enforcement officials who see things from his prism and the military. All others are illegal and are just waiting to do harm to innocent bystanders.
Here is an article covering the gathering with several names that we know will be attending. Included in the article is this gem of a statement, "91 percent of Georgians Support Background Checks; Isackson and Chambliss Voted Against Bipartisan Background Checks That Would Have Kept Guns Out of Wrong Hands."

Notable Quotable
Mayor Bloomberg wants to be your king, your mommy and your daddy, to tell you when to drink your Big Gulp and when to put salt on your tater chips. We out here in the West live a little differently. We believe in personal responsibility and in exercising the God-given rights that are supposed to be protected by the Constitution. -- Jay Printz, retired Montana Sheriff and member of the NRA Board of Directors living in Hamilton, Montana.

GA Ping.
How about a march against illegal politicians. It could be turned into a lottery and the funds go to investigate corruption and when someone is singled out he is attacked with a unit similar to the ACLU and the proceeds go to pay a reward or “Lottery Winnings”

New York City is giving California a run for it’s money, all by itself. Which can infect the most states with vile Leftist pipe dreams?
It’s an infestation Atlanta, Bloombug is on the fly...
It’s time to start putting some of Bloomer’s light in the loafers “mayors” in prison for violating the rights of Americans.
For those who follow the link to the WSJ’s website, note this sentence at the end of the article: “The Wall Street Journal news department was not involved in the creation of this content.”
That’s because the article was supplied by PRNewswire-USNewswire, a famous media whoring outfit. In other words, somebody (Bloomberg’s outfit?) paid PRN to place the story in the WSJ.
Thus, this “news article” becomes no more than another paid advertizement in the WSJ.
Open carry expected?
Always seems to me that he has more time on his hands than he should...I mean, NYC must be having zero problems that need executive oversight or decisions that need to be made at this particular junction...
And yet, the “people” of NYC keep electing him...
For what its worth, I would tell him to his face, get your own house in order before you come to me and tell me to do the same...
Yes. From the article:
“As you probably know from our past armed rallies, the Capitol Police (GSP) are well aware of the Georgia Gun Laws and welcome us there. In fact, some members of the GSP have told us they love to see us coming because we make their jobs easy as people up to no good leave the area when they see our guns.”

Agreed !!
Enforce the laws that are already on the books instead of trying to create new ones.
When a crime is committed with a firearm , don’t plea bargin the charge down !
Its not the people who keep electing him
its the Demorat ‘machine robots ‘ who elect anything with “(D )” after their name.
Gee whiz, could you have let me know a little later? I could have maybe attended!
Hey, did you see the date on the email? This all came up pretty quick.
I’d blow off my client if I didn’t have a meeting scheduled.
I hope this pr!ck is going to come to Colorado on one of my days off.
Colorado has open carry.
I’ve always concealed carried, but I’ll make an exception for this.
Just making that point very clear. Kinda thing where a small misunderstanding can go very very wrong.
Why, you gotta date??? ;-)
If so, I like yer priorities!!! hehehe
So what happened?
