Leaking Non-Classified Docs at Ag & Educ. Equivalent to Treason/Espionage, Official Govt Policy Says

In response to Mitch McConnell Decries Obama Regime's Culture Of Intimidation and Stifling Of Speech (Video):

Labeling James Rosen a co-conspirator in espionage (working with a foreign power) wasn't some lapse by the Obama Administration.

It's actually White House policy. Incredible story from McClatchy.

Even before a former U.S. intelligence contractor exposed the secret collection of Americans’ phone records, the Obama administration was pressing a government-wide crackdown on security threats that requires federal employees to keep closer tabs on their co-workers and exhorts managers to punish those who fail to report their suspicions. President Barack Obama’s unprecedented initiative, known as the Insider Threat Program, is sweeping in its reach. It has received scant public attention even though it extends beyond the U.S. national security bureaucracies to most federal departments and agencies nationwide, including the Peace Corps, the Social Security Administration and the Education and Agriculture departments. It emphasizes leaks of classified material, but catchall definitions of “insider threat” give agencies latitude to pursue and penalize a range of other conduct.

Government documents reviewed by McClatchy illustrate how some agencies are using that latitude to pursue unauthorized disclosures of any information, not just classified material. They also show how millions of federal employees and contractors must watch for “high-risk persons or behaviors” among co-workers and could face penalties, including criminal charges, for failing to report them. Leaks to the media are equated with espionage....

Great point. Setting the conditions for the newly long term unemployed to behave, or else...

The Soviets imprisoned people who had accidently seen the city sewer plans. Documents are “classified” at different levels precisely because most of them have no value as far as defense goes. It would be ridiculous to control every document because 99.9% have no defense value.

But, if your purpose is to control embarrassing information, well, that’s another story. You don’t want people knowing that the IRS spent 56million dollars on junkets or that the Department of energy has given out nearly a trillion dollars in bad loans to dodgy energy concerns. By all means, stamp those documents Top Secret. Persecute the leakers. It’s the Soviet thing to do.

This will cause true patriots and whistleblowers to retire or refrain from seeking federal jobs in the future. But the bureaucracies won't care, they will soon have a large mass of amnestied illegal workers to hire. Those people won't give a damn about giving up their privacy and freedom, because they mostly come from countries which are even less free.

The Roman Empire is burning again. Nero Zero is in the White Palace, playing the lyre (oops, I mean liar).

Well somebody has to tell us because the media sure won’t.

Just seems kind of odd that with all the distraction with the anti Snowden propaganda, nobody asks about these companies contracted to do these jobs for the NSA.

I’ve seen one mention of the fact that James Clapper was an executive with Booz Allen. I’d like to know if he still owns stock. Or we could ask about John Brennan who owns the company that breached candidate passport files during the 08 election. Is his company still getting those very lucrative govt contracts?

I think that we’re rapidly getting to a point at which doing anything that might jeopardize the re-election chances of any left-wing Democrat is “Equivalent to Treason.”

The whole idea of ratting on the government being treason is ridiculous. The betrayal has to be against America as a nation and its people before it rises to the level of treason. The Founders understood that a government may betray its people and will require reformation from time to time. It was designed to happen at the ballot box. May it be so.

RFK Jr. said it was treasonous to oppose Climate Change legislation.

The Socialist agenda despises all attempts to challenge it.

You can read the bills after they’ve been passed.

<....”nobody asks about these companies contracted to do these jobs for the NSA.”....>

That’s because they’re after the people...we’ll know as they are caught. The company that vetted Snowden is not only being investigated but has a history of forging resumes etc...and they are pressing charges as this moves along.

Today Google had to hand over e-mails from two individuals ‘from Iceland’... who were working for Wikileaks...Assange’s group...and of course we know he’s instrumental now with Snowden because he wants the Documents Snowden has...and the control of when they can affect International Meetings, agendas etc.

Snowdens release of documents is exactly the same pattern as Assanges style. They have to have impact at specific times when leaders meet or prior to in order to manipulate the events or circumstances.

So is the Administration pursuing all those IRS employees that didn't report targeting when they saw it happening?

......oh, yeah......that's okay.
