WASHINGTON — CIA operatives and U.S. special operations troops have been secretly training Syrian rebels with anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons since late last year, months before President Obama approved plans to begin directly arming them, according to U.S. officials and rebel commanders.
The covert U.S. training at bases in Jordan and Turkey, along with Obama’s decision this month to supply arms and ammunition to the rebels, have raised hopes among the beleaguered opposition that Washington ultimately will provide heavier weapons as well. So far, the rebels say they lack the weapons they need to regain the offensive in Syria’s bitter civil war.

My opinion, and its pure conjecture and some reading in the area, but Benghazi was the locus of the shipping of arms from Libya to Syria...the outpost was a CIA black bag op...and that is WHY THEY created the cover story of the video...because we wanted the world to think we were neutral or whatever.
Now, they got caught maybe the truth will come out somewhere...its all illegal IMHO...but Obama will never take the fall some dork of an underling will do it for him...for a rich reward later if prison is involved ...

Don’t forget: His very first day in office January 20th 2009, the very FIRST thing he did above everything else, was try and close down Gitmo. Above EVERYTHING else, his #1 priority was assisting terrorists and he’s never stopped since then. And they’re not doing too bad are they? Now they control Egypt and Libya: Two formerly neutral countries are now in the hands of the Islamo Nazis with Syria next. So now instead of one Iran, we got 4 Irans who will be threatening Israel and the US non stop.

If I am to believe this article, we've been supplying training with heavy weapons, but not supplying heavy weapons. Are we that stupid? Perhaps. The obvious assumption is that we've been supplying weapons, financing unknown, but there have been no reports of the rebels confronting Syrian tanks or aircraft. Doesn't fit. That we've been training the terrorists in Jordan and Turkey is old news, I suspect the heavy weapons part is fabrication, but who knows.
