WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) - The organizer of what would have been Wausau's first gay pride parade has cancelled it, saying he has experienced a wave of ugliness in the community.
Daxx Bouvier told Daily Herald Media (http://wdhne.ws/12ZwKye ) that he cancelled Saturday's parade after negative comments from a City Council member and in articles in local media.
Bouvier says people who had planned to be in the parade told him they were concerned about their safety.
City Council member Dave Nutting said at meeting earlier this month that people should boycott the parade or, if they went, turn their backs on "deviant-behaving individuals."
Bouvier lives in California but owns a home in Wausau. He says he has no further plans to organize gay pride events in the city.

never understood either why they have parades where they act like freaks, have flags and stickers or tell people what they like sexually.
They used to say when they wanted civil unions that it was their private business and then they said they wanted more than don’t ask which gave them privacy.

I will never forget being trapped in the gay parade on the way back from the airport in a car with my mother - it was unimaginably grotesque, and I’m speaking as a person who works in the arts and has has had close relationships with numerous gay artists my entire adult life. The men in the parade were also openly aggressive and belligerent toward my 80 year old mother...these are people consumed with hatred.

These people come from the north east and CA think they have their purpose in life to make us accept them, they leave their cess pit states and then act all victim when we don’t go along with their way of thinking.
