TED CRUZ Launches National Petition Drive to Kill Immigration Bill

TED CRUZ LAUNCHES NATIONAL PETITION DRIVE AGAINST GANG OF EIGHT’S IMMIGRATION BILL–
border security

** Sign the petition here.

Breitbart.com reported:

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) launched a national petition on Thursday to stop the Senate Gang of Eight’s amnesty bill and send Washington a “strong signal” of the grassroots opposition to the bill.

“This is urgent,” Cruz wrote in an e-mail to supporters. “We must stop this Gang of 8 immigration bill, which would give amnesty to an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants with no guarantee of a secure border.”

“The Senate debate is in the final stages and we need to send Washington a strong signal of the overwhelming grassroots opposition to this amnesty bill from Americans across the country,” Cruz explained.

Cruz urged supporters to share the petition with friends and to “act now–without delay–to help us defeat amnesty and stand for legal immigration!”

FYI: The current proposed bill will still allow illegal immigration.

If he didn’t make it a campaign fund petition it might have seemed a little more sincere. I just hope once we help push him up the ladder that he stays true to his core values retains integrity because we have an inordinate amount of lying politicians that start out ood and end up going to the dark side nowadays.

I’m disappointed. It doesn’t object to the legalization and path to citizenship (that is, amnesty) in Rubio’s bill, but only to current shortcomings in border security.

Also, it’s pretty clearly political campaign-linked (e.g., using his campaign logo and slogan), so in effect a vehicle for collecting contact info for potential supporters.

Yeah, I got the impression as well. I like Cruz. He is probably the best we can get right now.

I think in any elitist-engineered political fait accompli, the elitists must allow for some opposition to make the imposed change seem more legitimate.

Good for Cruz, but not a chance, IMO. And whether or not with its passage there actually is greatly enhanced border enforcement (promised), the damage will still come from the 11 (to 20) million illegals put on the path to citizenship, creating a de facto dictatorship for the Demonrats.

It gets worse. I phoned the petition number provided in his radio ads and he initially said that he would send me a free bumper sticker, but then starts a hard sell for a $100 or $200 donation.

If you don’t agree to at least the $100 donation he drops you from the call with no bumper sticker.

I didn’t want the bumper sticker anyway but would have considered sending him $40 if that option was available (until finding out it only addresses a border fence).

Apparently he can’t be bothered with small bills.

Find it strange when the excuse is being given that while the government knows whats going on in 300 million citizens lives but because the illegals are not citizens and in “the shadows” according to Florida’s Senator Rubio the US doesn’t know who they are or where they’re comming from so we must make them citizens..

FR’s ; are urged to visit their respective Congressional Representatives and let them know their feelings

WHEN IT COMES TO AMNESTY
THIS IS THE MEXICAN PART NO ONE DARES MENTION

If you agree with the above and the following please don’t let it lay here in FR-land. Pass it on to to your favorite talk show host and to your US legislators. PUSH THE HASTERT RULE.

ONE NATIONALITY AMNESTY SKEWS QUOTAS. FROM A COUNTRY WITH CLAIMS ON OUR SOVEREIGN TERRITORY LEADS TO PROBLEMS
In that May 3rd speech Obama gave before the Mexican Anthropological Museum in which he blamed America for the violence in Mexico I believe he went even futhur. There’s a inference but never referenced by name to the Gasden purchase and border settlements US made with Mexico where Obama hinted he seems to side with the Mexican claims. Would those in attendence share that view is a question that should be asked, because I believe they would,.he does.

SOLVING THE ‘LATINO” PROBLEM A MYTH HISPANIC IS NOT A RACE BUT A POLITICAL LINGUISTIC CONTRIVANCE ...don’t fall into the hyphenated Americans trap created by the hyphenated political party ...The DEMO-COMS

The Mexicans have been getting most favorable treatment above the rest of our neighbors both north and south. They’re permitted to cross our borders and enter illegally and are allowed access to rights of citizenship (with the exception of voting which if the democrat party regains control over the House will happen) other nationals entering this country don’t get.. Worse yet the Obama government has been working hand in glove with Mexican movements such as LaRaza supporting the Mexican claims which are also supporting “Amnesty”.

Also by allowing Mexicans to do this any quota ration for immigration from other south and central American countrys are taken up by Mexicans while that country is laying claim to a large chunk of our sovereign territory. It is a recipe forserious problems which are happening now.

ARE MEXICAN ILLEGALS SQUATTERS PERPETUATING THE MEXICAN CLAIMS ?

We are already seeing the result of this in certain areas claimed by the Mexicans. Their national flag (standard) gets displayed over ours. Where there is a controlling number of Mexican nationals (illegals). It’s displayed over certain institutions particularly schools accompanied by riots and disturbances. Blacks are threatend by Mexicans in certain sections of citys in those areas. We’re courting trouble by not placing a value on our sovereignty and our citizenship.

MOST COINS OF THE REALM HAVE TWO FACES WHAT ABOUT HOW ARE AMERICAN CITIZENS LIVING IN MEXICO BEING TREATED ?

Worse yet if a US citizen goes into Mexico never mind illegaly but legally. They’ll get 2nd class treatment. Land ownership in title is prohibited period. And there are a slew of regulations they must comply with. Which doesn’t apply to a citizen of Mexico

THE SOLUTION ASSERT OUR SOVEREIGNTY AND TALK RECIPROCITY .

By not insisting on reciprocity particularly on those who have entered this country illegally we’re offering no incentive for assimilation and we’re not easing the burden for our fellow citizens who for what ever reason decided to live in Mexico.

ENOUGH OF THE ONE WORLD SOCIALISM ...BRING BACK SOVEREIGNTY AND SANITY TO OUR COUNTRY .....BRING BACK BELIEF IN GOD ...THIS GOVERNMENT OUT OUR FACE..... OUR RELIGIONS..... AND OUR BEDROOMS..

Ditto here. And any border security amendments passes will just be ignored anyway, as such laws always are, while the rest of the amnesty part will be fully implemented.

But I think Rubio's goal is to kill the bill with an amendment that won't pass Democrat muster.

It's great that Cruz is against this Amnesty bill. It must be stopped and anything that creates opposition to the bill is great. but many trolls here turned this thread into a bash Cruz thread. Cruz is against the Amnesty bill. it's rare to find a politician to speak out against it. or anybody really.

If Cruz wanted to fund raise then why not go along with theevil Amnesty bill as then he would get all the funding from liberal billionaires like Zuckerberg ( the fake conservative radio ads) , Soros ,Lewis and the hundreds of liberal organizations they fund , the government grants etc.

Cruz is doing the right thing by opposing this Amnesty bill and many democrat/liberal trolls on here go against him for that

Going directly to a fund-raising form for Ted Cruz on the site turned me off.

I’m afraid this doesn’t help anything, and instead makes it all seem like more political garbage.

Write your senators is probably the best bet. Individual letters/emails have as strong an effect as an internet petition, but I was prepared to sign a real petition drive. Instead, I found a fund-raising drive.

Fundraising is mostly done by private contractors. In too many instances if the candidate doesn’t have the understanding with them that if the respondent can’t donate but wishes to volunteer the percenter (person answering phone) files that in the waste basket. This happens every election because the candidate has little control over what those percenters say or do, except fire the whole bunch

Those Ryan,Rubio, pro amnesty stampede ads are being run by a “conservative”front group financed by the heavies.
Cruz doesn’t have that kind of “bread” but if he wants to get a message warning out to America that the present offerings in both the House and the Senate must be stopped he is supposed to fund it with his own money is what you’re saying.

Honestly, I think the Latino/Hispanic/Mexican group that is the “face” attached to this topic is way off base. It’s misleading. It’s what Obama wants everyone to think about,,while he is thinking about lining up a path for his Syrian, Libyan, Egyptian rebel jihadi buddies to come to the US and take full advantage of the immigration ‘reform.’ Keeping the hispanic face front and center is deceptive. He has much more sinister plan on deck.

Slow path to progress for U.S. immigrants: 43% on welfare after 20 years

The study, which covers all immigrants, legal and illegal, and their U.S.-born children younger than 18, found that immigrants tend to make economic progress by most measures the longer they live in the U.S. but lag well behind native-born Americans on factors such as poverty, health insurance coverage and homeownership.

The study, based on 2010 and 2011 census data, found that 43 percent of immigrants who have been in the U.S. at least 20 years were using welfare benefits, a rate that is nearly twice as high as native-born Americans and nearly 50 percent higher than recent immigrants.

My Pubbie Senator (Grassley) is not on your list, but I called his office this morning anyway. Even the mostly good guys need to feel the heat — and Grassley can be wobbly at times. I congratulated him on his efforts on the IRS scandals but said we need to completely alter the tax system... and said trust in govt has been so eroded that we should not be passing ANY large bills even if they have things in them that sound good. His aide asked if I’d been to his website and I said yes, and that is why I was calling — it is not enough for the Senator to say he is not for amnesty, because one can always say this bill is not amnesty. I asked for his thoughts on the current bill with the addition of the amendment. Apparently the Senator hasn’t committed on this bill yet, so I am glad I called. I chewed the ear of his aide while she mostly just “uh-huhed” me and then she said she had other calls coming in. I said people will be voted out of office over this and I hoped the Senator would not be collateral damage!!

Signing the Cruz petition is so easy. If you don’t want to to donate, just sign the petition and bug out!!! It is as easy as 1-2-3!!! That is exactly what I did!!! Yep....one million signatures carries a bit of weight....since the reality of this whole sham is that the overwhelming majority of Americans, most Hispanics included, could care less about a path to freedom for illiegal immigrants!!! If you sit on the sidelines and moan about this or that....please don’t com[lain when the “Democrat” immigration bill passes. Knocking Cruz and carping is no way to go through life!!! People don’t get it. Both parties want this bill. The Dems want it for amnesty and increased numbers of legal immigrants that will make them the permanent majority party. The bill will bring in at least 47 million legal immigrants over the next 10 years—three times more than the decade ending in 2010, which saw 13.9 million legal immigrants enter this country, the highest decade in American history.

The Reps want the bill for more guest workers—white collar and agricultural—to please their corporate masters. The bill doubles the number of guest workers increasing the numbers by 1.6 million the first year and 600,000 every year thereafter.

This phony border security scam issue is meant to deflect from the central problem with this bill, i.e., it takes jobs from American workers and depresses wages even further. Throwing more resources at the border really does not fix this bill or this central problem. We are being sold out by the political elites of both parties.

You prefer that only the Democrats use effective techniques to build mailing lists and raise finds to prepare an effective campaign? Or perhaps you like Romneys who raise all their money from the entrenched elites, and don’t care about conservative principles?

You’ve got it exactly right.

Such supposedly Apple-pie institutions as the US Chamber of Commerce support it. Without high tech behind it for its own immigration goodies, it probably wouldn’t have the oomph to pass, either—though it is primarily big employers of low-skill illegals pushing it through. And, of course, one worlders have been for the de facto political unification of the Americas for decades now.

With the consistent political-media din, the pollster monkeys are able to generate favorable-appearing polls on it now, too.

Oh, and for good measure, the tea parties are now completely distracted with their civil liberties distractions, organizing protests against the IRS rather than against the massive amnesty about to pass.
