Senate RINOs listen up! Latinos DO NOT favor immigration bill. Here's how to really win their votes.

Posted on 06/20/2013 4:53:38 AM PDT by Javeth

Throughout the immigration bill debate, the liberal MSM and ringleaders of the RINO Senators, esp. Lindsey Graham, Marco Rubio and John McCain, have all tried to drive the claim that the GOP and conservatives must surrender to amnesty and still more mass immigration since that would increase Latinos voting Republican. This has basically been taken as an assumption and even part of the GOP establishment has lapped it up, but is it true? The answer is, absolutely not! Assuming that Latinos would vote GOP just because of capitulation on the immigration bill is a pathetic political miscalculation and a wrong assumption. The CIS Center for Immigration Studies has put out the best data on this, and their evidence is backed up everywhere you look- http://www.cis.org/pro-immigration-congressional-republicans-do-not-perform-better-among-latino-voters http://www.cis.org/edwards/hispanic-vote http://www.cis.org/more-us-stem-grads-than-jobs http://www.gallup.com/poll/155327/Hispanic-Voters-Put-Issues-Immigration.aspx

And AJ Delgado drove the point home as well as anyone with this must-read article- http://www.mediaite.com/online/sorry-gop-immigration-reform-won%E2%80%99t-win-you-the-latino-vote/

The evidence is the opposite, in fact among Latino voters immigration is among the least of their concerns, which are dominated more than all else by basic pocketbook economic concerns. In fact, a closer look indicates that not only would the GOP gain nothing (and lose everything) by supporting this immigration bill- the Republican Party is more likely to gain Latino and African-American votes by OPPOSING amnesty and everything else in this bill! The broad outlines are obvious to all of us here, how for example the 1986 amnesty did not lead to an increase in Latino votes for Republicans, in fact the GOP lost ground. And even pro-amnesty loud-mouth John McCain himself, despite his stupid and unwavering support for mass immigration, lost the Latino vote by a massive margin to Obama. But there's even more evidence than that. So what are the main factors driving Latino votes if not immigration?

The bottom line is that Latinos are suffering the effects of the Obama Depression just like other groups in the US, and it's economic factors that have been causing the Republican deficit in the Latino vote, nothing at all to do with immigration. The one constant of voter data over decades is that when Americans are poor and afraid, they tend to look to government to protection instead of self-reliance, and that creates more Democrat voters, while as voters become wealthier and more secure, they support Republicans. The Democratic Party, with all its vile motivations, has a strong interest in making sure that Latinos and African-Americans stay poor and insecure and dependent on welfare. And one of the best ways to do that is make sure the US keeps getting flooded with even more heavy immigration and mass amnesty, to make sure that earnings stay low and people struggle for business, especially Latinos and African-Americans. So in fact the best demographic solution for the GOP is for immigration to be moderate, so allow Latinos and other groups here to see rises in earnings and security and thus come to support conservative ideas, as it's been for us in generations before. This means that contrary to the irritating liberal MSM claims, the GOP clearly can win the Latino vote, and it's absolutely not by supporting this awful immigration bill despite the claims by McCain and Rubio.

Ann Coulter, among others has also cited the AJ Delgado article http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2013-06-12.html and she's 100% correct on this, Latinos in the US who vote couldn't care less about immigration, and if anything loathe mass immigration as much as Americans in general, as a threat to their jobs and earnings. Steven Camarota more thoroughly demostrated this about a decade ago http://www.cis.org/High-Cost-of-Cheap-Labor

This doesn't come as a surprise to any of us who've worked with Latinos, as my wife and I do in our company both as associates and customers. They're aware as anyone how badly Obama has screwed up the economy, and they don't want mass immigration, millions of guest-working slave-laborers and amnesty to hurt their economic foundations. In fact, many of the Democrat Party's core groups are so angry at the Senate Dems over the immigration bill that they're leaning Republican for their House of Representatives votes in 2014, as a result of the steadfast opposition to the immigration bill in that chamber. Union voters and blue collar workers, engineers who hate the H1B and African-Americans and Latinos who hate the threats to their jobs and earnings from mass immigration, are turning their backs on the Dems. Almost all I've spoken to personally are heavily against the immigration bill, and you'll find this on comment boards throughout all kinds of news sites. Even commenters on the NYT boards hate this bill. That's right, not the NRO or RedState- commenters on the leftist NYT, as left-wing as you'd expect on about any other article, turn into rabid amnesty and mass immigration hating conservatives on this issue and declare their fury at the Democrats, as well as the few GOP Senators like Rubio, Hatch, Graham, Flake, Ayotte and McCain who've been foolish enough to even consider supporting this. In other words, staunch opposition to the immigration bill by true conservatives is helping our cause, even with minority voters.

So how can we take further advantage of this? Over the past decade, my wife and I and some neighbors have been involved with Republicans campaigns that have won a large share of Latino voters, and of course as expected, their success had nothing to do with immigration- in fact all of those successful campaigns opposed the kind of pander mania shown by Rubio and McCain about this bill, and have opposed the kind of mass immigration it supports. It's true that the successful GOP campaigns by and large did focus a lot of resources on Latino outreach, recruiting Latino volunteers, with smart Spanish language TV ads as well as door-to door campaigning and partnerships with Latino leaders. Yes, but much more important to their success was the MESSAGE- support for Latinos to stand on their own and be successful in their small businesses, without depending on welfare or big government, and without having to worry about their business and earnings potential being flooded by masses of millions more mass immigrants under-bidding their own businesses and wages. When they saw that the GOP was supporting their small businesses and economic interests, in major part by opposing mass immigration panders like this foolish immigration bill, they came to support our candidates. GOP Senators should pay this close attention, because in combination with capturing the votes of other disaffected Democratic groups, this is a clear path to victory in 2014 and beyond, at all levels from federal to local.

ALL Americans should be against this evil Anmnesty bill

The bill Will bring in 100 million more new immigrants from the 3rd world.

do you value your job , your income , your country, you stupid liberal/demerocrat voters? Obviously you don’t. you think these immigrants won’t take your job, MORONs = liberals

The current Amnesty bill must be stopped.call congress.

30 million illegals get Amnesty to vote in 2014 election

those 30 million can bring in 50 million more of their relatives still in the 3rd world.

30 million more illegals will invade to do the “under the table” jobs

untold millions will cross into the USA to get in on the
Amnesty bonanza.

if this bill passes the USA is done

these representatives in Congress are traitors against
Americans .

What do we do sit here and complain on the Internet when we should be protesting in the streets, outside of Congress as they prepare to give Amnesty to these immigrant creeps.protests, marches, no we sit here while they take our country away.

At least we should be calling Congressmen non stop, emailing , twitter ,paper letters( an effective method) etc.

I am writing something up to give these congressmen a piece of my mind

I’m willing to bet the Hispanic popylation is getting tired of being treated like a cheap prostitute by politicians. From what I’ve seen they are people with brains that work hard for the most part. A large percentage of them just dont pay taxes. I sense, from talking to quite a few of them, that they don’t respect this president and hate his values. I’m speaking about responsible Hispanic men that have families. I’ll lay odds that they turn on 0 at some point in the future.

How about a list of Laws U.S. TAXPAYERS can break and (eventually) get a free-ride from prosecution?

I’d even take the ‘punishment’ gov’t agents get when THEY are finally ‘brought to justice’ (AKA: slap on the wrist)
