Morse Scrambles to Fight Recall by Calling on Help from Boston, San Francisco (Colorado Gun Grabber)

DENVER– Senate President John Morse issued a national plea for help to out-of-state supporters from Boston to San Francisco as Colorado Democrats went on the offensive Tuesday to save him from a recall vote.

A spokeswoman for A Whole Lot of People for John Morse announced Tuesday that a protest had been filed to nullify the recall petitions within hours after the Colorado Secretary of State’s office declared that the petitions were sufficient to force a recall election.

Meanwhile, Morse urged out-of-state supporters to help him keep his Colorado Springs legislative seat by donating their money and time.

“[A]ny help that you can give us in fundraising or in volunteering, even from around the country, truthfully,” said Morse in a video message. “We can get phone lists to you and things like that and have you help from Boston, Massachusetts, or from San Francisco, California. So thanks for all that you’ve done so far and thanks for all that you’re going to do as we move forward to take on this tiger.”

The message, posted Monday on the Facebook page A Whole Lot of People for John Morse, underscores the national prominence of the recall fight, which is being viewed as a referendum on gun rights.

Paul Paradis, one of the recall organizers, accused Morse of trying to combat the will of those living in the Colorado Springs district with out-of-state interest groups.

“He’s trying to get other states to run this district, pure and simple,” said Paradis. “We want someone who’s going to represent our side of town, not Los Angeles, not New York.”

Morse is being recalled because last session he was the Democrat Senate President who rammed through several gun control bills, including the magazine limitation that sent a major business/employer out of state. Plus, he pushed through several other very liberal bills. The last session was a real overreach by the Dems and he led the charge.

The MSM claim he is "popular" in his district, but he is not. He barely won election last time.

Funny he isn’t asking for help from his own district.

Can't let The Little People think that they run their own district.

Democrats went on a bill-passing spree this year after gaining control of both chambers in November, pushing through a spate of controversial measures that included an overhaul of the state’s election system; an income tax credit for DUmmies who don’t pay income taxes, and driver’s licenses and in-state tuition for illegal immigrants.

Many of the most divisive bills were approved with no Republican votes, including the three gun-control measures. Gun-rights advocates filed signatures this month to recall two Democrats, Sens. Angela Giron of Pueblo and John Morse of Colorado Springs.

“Time and time again this session, they pursued a partisan agenda without seeking any cooperation from Republicans or soliciting any input from the Colorado families and business owners their actions will harm the most,” said Waller.

While knocking Morse out of his seat would be a huge initial victory for gun rights, don’t be mistaken, as this will be a tough fight.

—Morse is squirming and sweating. Gotta love it.
Maybe New Yorkie Dooomberg can swing by with his gun grabbing bus tour and yap & yip for Morse-—.

Funny you said that. This is from an email I just received:

“Billionaire anti-gun Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his gun-grabbing friends will pour hundreds of thousands of dollars to defend their puppet in the Senate.

Even worse, should the recall against Senator Morse succeed, the Democrats’ rumored candidate to replace Morse is another Bloomberg stooge who was the Colorado director for Mayors Against Illegal Guns, former State Rep. Mike Merrifield”.

I can see a great ad...

"Morse talks San Francisco’s values[screen crawl appropriate quotes]...

Morse takes Bloomberg's cash[splash appropriate headlines]...

[Ominous background music]So, who does he represent in Colorado's legislature?"

Morse also is on record telling Dem senators to ignore phone calls and e-mail from constituents. IMHO the most dastardly thing he did.

He and his supporters will be the first to howl, whine, moan and complain when out of staters help his opponent.

Someone with the expertise should put up a website or FB page, A Whole Lot of Furiners for John Morse. (For those of you outside the borders, that’s a typical pronunciation of foreigner. Just as Coors is pronounced Curz.)

Good idea. And a TV commercial.

Damned furiners, anyway.

We’re about to see millions of furiners.

Is it my imagination or does this national plea for help to out-of-state supporters seem to be a call for vote fraud?

“Billionaire anti-gun Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his gun-grabbing friends will pour hundreds of thousands of dollars to defend their puppet in the Senate.

Makes it easier to paint Morse as a Dingbatburg stooge (which he is) in the election. Our side should run against the leftist outsider Blooomie who is Morse's boss. Inform the voters big time.

Even worse, should the recall against Senator Morse succeed, the Democrats’ rumored candidate to replace Morse is another Bloomberg stooge who was the Colorado director for Mayors Against Illegal Guns, former State Rep. Mike Merrifield”.

I heard. If the Dumbs do this, Merrifield is going to have to run in 2014 as I hear he plans to do anyways.

Play up that Merrifield = another Morse or worse in 2014 and Bloomberg stooge.

Meanwhile, Morse urged out-of-state supporters to help him keep his Colorado Springs legislative seat by donating their money and time.

That alone ought to disqualify him from ever serving in any further public capacity again in Colorado.

The real fun should start when the Dems try to force him to resign so they can keep his seat. Like most Dems, he's in it for himself but to the Democrats, he will just be damaged goods. He was probably also promised all kinds of support from obama, bloomberg, et al too. Watch them throw him to the sharks when his protest fails. He won't know what hit him.
