Arms Continue to Flow From Benghazi to Syria
National Review Online ^ | June 19, 2013 | Jim Geraghty

Meanwhile, Back in Benghazi . . .

Remember my story about the smuggling of shoulder-mounted anti-aircraft missiles in and out of Libya during that country’s civil war? Public reports indicate U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens was working on tracking those missiles when he was attacked and murdered in Benghazi. While the most lurid allegations of U.S. arms smuggling to Libya are not yet proven, the Obama administration did give its blessing to Qatar’s smuggling of arms to the Libyan rebels in 2011 — and later realized that the weapons were ending up in the hands of Islamist militants. The quiet approval of the arms smuggling violated a United Nations arms embargo — and probably ended up exacerbating a problem that would eventually require Stevens to be in that city at that time — when the danger was so considerable.

There is a new Reuters report from Benghazi that further corroborates the account of Libyans smuggling their leftover weapons, including missiles, through Benghazi to Syria and adds additional details:

Abdul Basit Haroun says he is behind some of the biggest shipments of weapons from Libya to Syria, which he delivers on chartered flights to neighbouring countries and then smuggles over the border.

. . . The first consignment of weapons was smuggled into Syria aboard a Libyan ship delivering aid last year, Haroun says, but now containers of arms are flown “above board” into neighbouring countries on chartered flights.

The scariest thing about this administration is that they don’t stop their corrupt and illegal actions even after they are exposed.

.. and they are not above using the IRS or DO”J” to target
or take out a problem. They even have no fear of
Congress or SCOTUS, and thereby have wrought with
the anvil of corruption and election fraud
THE Constitutional crisis of the Century.

This is an important story, but I find myself being very protective of Benghazi, in that I don’t want the focus taken off the POTUS and Clinton for their massive failures the night our ambassador was killed.

Why did Hillary and Obama decide to overthrow the government of Libya? It sure wasn’t to get arms for Syria. The Democrats could care less about foreign policy. The Democrats could care less about anything except putting money in their pockets. The Democrat party must be dismantled to save our nation.

I think it is the greatest constitutional crisis since the Civil War, and arguably since the beginning of the republic, since it affects every single American and not just one region of the country.

“Anyone know if President Obama intends to perform background checks on the Syrian rebels before providing them weapons?”- Senator Ted Cruz

I with you there...

What Benghazi needs is a genuine 1960s anthem with a snappy tune.

I ripped off one of theirs, as a finger in the eye, to the tune of “4 Dead in Ohio”

Crosby Stills Nash. I would love if some talented soul would produce this.

Four Dead in Benghazi:

Dead Soldiers and Obama Lying~
Says its nothing to do with me.
Al-Qaeda is not the reason~
Four dead in Benghazi.

Gotta move on from it~
Elections are coming real soon.

Lets blame an American Video.

The Media will drop it soon~
Once enough time has passed.

Lets SELL it on the Sunday Shows!!!

Dead Soldiers and Obama Lying~
Says its nothing to do with me.
Al-Qaeda is not the reason~
Four dead in Benghazi.

Family’s crying as ~
Heroes are laid in their graves.

They Simply were abandoned there to die.

What difference does it make now~
I’ll tell you what HILLARY.

America deserves to know why!!

Dead Soldiers and Obama Lying~
Says its nothing to do with me.
Al-Qaeda is not the reason~
Four dead in Benghazi.

That’s one part why Amb. Stevens and three others were slaughtered, with Stevens bloody fingerprints all over the walls in the compound in Bengazi. Then you have Admiral Lyon’s kidnapping affair!!!

At this point the only thing to stop them is for State governments to step up, declare certain things violoations of the constitution, tell federal judges and alphabet agencies to go pound sand, and call their bluff.

Make it a fight between STATES and the FED govt, not between individual citizens and the FED govt.

The jingle or tune can get in your head and play on you. It’s worth a try. I’m not able to produce this type of thing, but good luck getting someone to jump in.

There were originally 21,000 MANPADS missiles, mostly older SA-7's and an unnown number of SA-24's.

Chris Stevens was working on tracking those missiles

Ha, ha, that is rich...! Yeah, they collected, assessed their state of serviceability. They prominently destroyed non-functional samples and forwarded on the intact share to entities difficult to supply **iF CONGRESS HAD BEEN A FACTOR**.

Which is wasn't. Here.

Libya was then an unguarded arms bazzare, a little like the former WTO after The Wall came down --a weapons smuggler's PARADiSE.

Saaaaay.....weapons smuggling, ya say, huh....?

Weapons smuggling, indeed. Yes.

PUT ON YOUR MEMORY CAP HERE.

Obama. Weapons smuggling. Hmmmmm....

FORGOT TO ADD:

French forces in Mali keep finding something all over the place, there.

Care to guess what it is...?

A 26-page Arabic operator’s manual for the SA-7 MANPADS.

You like that...? if they keep them all there, FiNE.

But who really thinks that not even ONE will find it’s way into the USA...?
