Rubio Flips Again, Helps Sink Biometric Visa Tracking Amendment
Breitbart News ^ | 6/18/13 | Kerry Picket

Posted on 06/18/2013 7:56:01 PM PDT by paltz

The Senate voted down an amendment to the upper chamber's immigration bill proposed by Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) that would require a full biometric visa tracking system placed at every land, sea, and air port of entry in the United States before legalized immigrants could receive green cards.

The measure, which was also called for by the 9/11 Commission in the wake of the 2001 terrorist attacks, would establish a biometric exit-entry system.

Gang of Eight member Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) told Breitbart News last week that the tracking system was the "lynchpin to the whole bill." In May, he told various outlets he favored such a tracking system. On Tuesday, however, Rubio voted against the Visa tracking amendment.

Members of the "Gang of Eight" promised border security before legalization in the process of bringing their immigration bill to the Senate. However, an amendment proposed by Senator John Thune (R-SD) that would finally construct the 700 mile double-layer border fence as mandated by the 2006 Secure Fence Act was voted down as well with the help of the Republican members of the Gang of Eight.

Looks like Rubio is playing kiss b. with Obama and the
Mexicans. Does he think he can bring in that massive 7%
latino vote by being a sellout? On the other hand.
Do we want a nation wide biometric tracking system for
everyone? Could be a foot in the door.

The truth is that by supporting this, the Koch Brothers and Ken Adleson are signing their own death warrants. The Democrats and unions then will have unlimited power, and will use it to crush them. 10 million illegals legalized equals 6 million votes for the Democrats and only 1 million for Republicans, which will result in Texas and other states becoming permanently blue.

Rubio’s presidential hopes lie on the trash heap of immigration blues. It’s going to be fun watching this wiggle monkey try to spin his way out of this. ...I liked Rubio. Shame on me. It’s getting to a point I don’t trust any of the bums.

Exactly

The usual short term gain and no long teem thinking.

Beyond reckless .

I think Adelson is a Dem using his money to kill off the GOP.
He funded Newt to divide the conservative base to get Romney .
The guy is pro abortion, anti religion, pro amnesty ....
a lib funding the country club GOP to fight off any chance of a conservative winning a national race.
He is poison to anything he touches and it’s on purpose.

"The one-two punch of ballooning entitlements from amnesty combined with government healthfare in the face of our ballooning debt makes me want to invest in the prepper industry."

People who are already preppers have most of their stuff - the best brands that work. Those who rush to try to get something, will buy the brand of whatever is in regular stores. Instead of swell Sanyo eneloop rechargeable batteries, they will buy Duracell and Energizer at Walmart or the drug store or the grocery store. If it's a man, he will buy those same brands at Lowes and Home Depot. And, he will buy cheap flashlights because he has to buy so much, the better brands won't be sold until the end unless no one has money to buy them at the end after their food and water.

They will buy grocery store brand veggies and canned meat. Bags of beans and rice will sell out everywhere as well as cans of beans. Toilet paper will be gone quickly.

The cheapest brands of guns will sell out whether or not there are any cartridges to buy.

The idea of that madness makes me want to lock the front door now and not open it until the world straightens out, however long that will be.

I think that ascribes too much credit to him, frankly.

But yes, people like Anderson have wielded an almost uniformly malignant influence over American society.

Still, I admire the fact that they have taken issue with the Zuckerberg money bomb that's saturating WABC with those imbecilic, pro-amnesty radio ads.

There is an interesting irony building here. I, too, have heard those ads a thousand times on the radio, and they emphasize that it's a "conservative" bill, with "conservatives" behind it, and those "conservatives" are demanding tough border security, etc., etc. The ads have clearly painted the bill as a "conservative" (read: Republican) effort. The ads leave the distinct impression that the Republicans own this bill.

So guess what? The ignorant chattering class, aka, the low information voters, have also heard those ads a thousand times, so when the bill crashes and burns who do you suppose they will "blame"? LMBO! It certainly won't be the "conservatives" because, well... why would the "conservatives" (read: Republicans) kill their own bill, a bill they are so proud of they've spent millions of dollars advertising it?

Break out the popcorn. This is only going to get funnier.

This is classic schoolyard bully bait and switch.

That’s all Rubio is, a low rent Cuban punk playing the credulous Republicans for fools.

Adelson directly impacted the GOP primary by financing Newt and kept him in the race .
As it turned out ,he did it to help Romney win .
Have you read about his beliefs?
He and his wife are liberal Dems .
Now he wants 30-49 million new Dem voters to help the GOP ?..
He is destroying the GOP with his money and he is no dummy .
He owns. Rubio, Ryan, Boehner, McConnell, McConnell ,..........

this was one of several things that pissed me off about bush.

patriot act was one.

harriet myers was one.

caving to obama’s command to begin bailouts was one.

creating dhs and tsa were two, and turning tsa glorified baggage handlers into badged thugs was another.

He ought to worry about winning the conservative vote. Since the modern conservative movement came into being after WWII, no Republican has won the White House without winning a good share of it.
