“They let more innocents get murdered in Boston.”

I really hope that you know that’s not the only place they laughed about in the US.

I wonder how many of those so called plots involve Bubbas just having fun or Randy Weaver styled “terrorists.”

Alexander also said that if the surveillance programs had been in place before the Sept. 11 attacks, the United States would have known that hijacker Khalid Muhammad Abdallah al-Mihdhar was in San Diego and communicating with a known al Qaeda safehouse in Yemen.

Departments couldn't share information because of Jamie Gorelick (who later made $25 million while employed at Fannie Mae before they crashed on the eve of the 2006 elections).

Intelligence officials said Tuesday that the government’s sweeping surveillance efforts have helped thwart “potential terrorist events” more than 50 times since the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, and the officials detailed two new examples to illustrate the utility of the programs.

In testimony before the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday, officials cited a nascent plot to blow up the New York Stock Exchange and a case involving an individual providing financial support to an overseas terrorist group.

Yah right.... BULLSHIT!!! I trust the Gestapo socialist 0dumb0shit gubmint as far as I could throw their fat or skinny asses. Bunch of fat socialist, fascist liars, including the liar-in-chief, 0dumb0!!!

It’s that generalized editorial “we” thing... no need to take it personally. :-)

Just give me back my freedom.

I've got a hunch we're going to have to get up and get it ourselves.

Alexander said he would provide details of the 50 examples he cited Tuesday to lawmakers in a classified setting on Wednesday.

He says he's publicly disclosed 4 of them. He also says that they date back to plots uncovered since 9-11-2001.

The program seems to have been expanded since 1-20-2009. How much has come to light since then? We know of three 3 successful terrorist jihadist plots that the government knew about in advance and did nothing (Ft. Hood, Boston, and Banghazi).

Political correctness rules the day. It would be a "bigger tragedy" to lose some of that diversity than to lose human lives, at least according to Obamarmy brass.

I live in a little rural town of 150 people. I’m in more danger from illegal aliens here than I am from terrorists and I’m only about 70 miles from Dearborn.

“What I can say unequivocally is that if you are a U.S. person, the NSA cannot listen to your telephone calls, and the NSA cannot target your e-mails,” he added, before Rose interjected, “And have not.”

The government was aware that Nadil Hasan was in communication with Al Qaeda overseas.

Just part of the PR initiative, poll tested and identically available, unquestioned @ every major news outlet. The companion piece was the Charlie Rose interview, everyone gushing how HARD it is to be President. Why you have to BE in the Situation Room to understand (like Beyonce and Jay-Z).

Yeah I’ve also wondered if they’re counting the Hutaree “attack” that never happened or was even planned. (all have been quietly acquitted)

The plots we do learn of are always called “the work of lone wolves” and “not real terrorism” even when evidence later says otherwise.

This may or may not be true, but it really is besides the point. Years of information that is stored in archives will be used by corrupt people for nefarious purposes. This is simply a fact of human nature. Look at what the IRS did to the conservatives. They couldn’t help themselves, apparently.

Today’s generation is especially vulnerable to this kind of corruption, too. Most of us left our youthful indiscretions in our past (and only cringe on them when they pop into our brain as we drive down the road in the morning). Younger folks have all this stuff on their Iphones, IPads, Facebook Pages, and Cell Phones. In other words, their mistakes, awkward moments, and Whoopsies are on video and at the NSA forever.

Certainly, the average person will have nothing to worry about, but the folks who become prominent political leaders, corporate CEO’s, and otherwise well-known will be vulnerable to humiliation and ruin via the NSA. And, trust me, this embarrassing stuff will make its way out. In 5-15 years, get ready for your favorite senator or political leader being shown back in her college days all drunked up and or telling a distasteful joke or exposing too many body parts or whatever (stuff we’ve all done and deeply regret).

Welcome to Obama’s future!!!!

We ought to make a list of all that attacks they missed.

Boston
Fort Hood
Santa Monica College(2)
Forest Fires(10?)
Sandy Hook

I’ll bet we could come up with plenty that reveals them collecting our data stops nothing.

I can’t tell you any more because its secret.

BTW, I’ll be needing another $60 billion.
