Well, OB-zero-Kenobe may be giving Afghanistan to the very people we were trying to defeat, but at least we have paid, and are paying, many score ten billions for it!

I feel sorry for the families of American service men and women who were killed or severely wounded in Afghanistan as their sacrifice will soon be for nothing. I also feel sorry for people in Afghanistan we have helped especially women and young girls as the Taliban will return the country to the 6th century Muslim dung heap it was before where women are beaten and executed simply for wanting freedom and education.

Peace Envoys From Taliban at Loose Ends in Qatar (Party!)
New York Times ^ | April 9, 2013 | ROD NORDLAND

DOHA, Qatar — When a handful of Taliban emissaries flew into Qatar on an American plane in 2010, the Obama administration hoped they would help negotiate a peace deal that could stabilize Afghanistan and allow the United States a graceful exit.

Three years after that secret arrival, the Taliban officials remain idle and their political office here remains unused.

“They are just living here enjoying the air-conditioning, driving luxury cars, eating and making babies,” one Afghan diplomat in Qatar said. “It’s all they can do; they have no work to do.”

They are unlikely to see a negotiating table anytime soon either, with the new fighting season in Afghanistan off to a particularly violent start and with the latest push to restart talks all but abandoned. Once again, the Taliban’s attention is on the battlefield, and on what may be gained or lost there as the American military begins its withdrawal from the war.

I’m concerned with what women of America think.
The ‘world’ can send their kids to eat IEDs for gender equity.

Avoids talking to Netanyahu but wants to talk to the Taliban. Obama has it all backwards, despite the fact that he’s “the smartest guy in the room”. (God help us!)

Afghanistan: Nato Security Handover Marked by Deadly Blast [VIDEO]

The official handover of responsibility for security in Afghanistan from Nato to local forces has been marked by a deadly blast. The explosion in the west of Kabul killed three people and injured 30.

Officials said a suicide bomber targeted Mohammed Mohaqiq, a prominent Hazara policymaker in the region and Afghanistan's second vice-president....

Scores of Nato and local officials had gathered to mark the official handover - a significant milestone 12 years after a Nato coalition went in to Afghanistan to expel the Taliban in the wake of the 9/11 attacks....

The Taliban insurgency has been intensifying after the militant group declared a spring offensive. According to UN figures, more than 3,000 civilians were killed between January and June this year, a sharp increase from the 2012 count.
