Just wait until Snowden starts posting audio (and possibly even video) of famous people doing and saying embarrassing things. That will personalize the spying on Americans and show that the NSA saves audio that has nothing to do with terrorism.

Does Snowden have audio of Obama? What about audio or video of Obama being his true gay self? How about a real “the emperor has no clothes” moment?

Snowden has nothing left to lose but his life and I am sure his death triggers a dump of info. Obama and the US government has a lot to lose.

Eddie is being naive. Of course, they won't shut them down, but these companies are operated as predatory monopolies. If they don't cooperate, they are threatened with anti-trust scrutiny.

Or as Qwest experienced, you are excluded from consideration for government contracts, and they find a way to indict your CEO for insider trading.

<....” Better to aim carefully and keep landing direct hits”...>

Does sound like he's attacking our Country....and doing so expecting the destruction of our National Security.

Make the people question their government's intentions...you get a foothold...make them distrust their national security you can take the nation.

He's on the wrong side and continues to show and reveal this is so.

Snowden said all he wanted was ‘discussion’..well it's happening...so what he's doing now serves another purpose...he's “On the road” and giving the world a “show”...so is the Guardian...someones looking for “Power” and it looks more and more like Snowden is attempting to bask in it.

This guy is dangerous.

There can be no faith in government if our highest offices are excused from scrutiny - they should be setting the example of transparency.

A twenty nine year old high school dropout giving Bill Ayer's best bud a lecture on transparency.

Ain't America great, terrorist bombers are best buds of the POTUS, and some hacker guy who disclosed what everyone was told in an USA Today article in 2006 becomes an enemy of the state.

Bingo.

Any European country that is a member of NATO is going to hand him over immediately. So will Australia, NZ, Japan and S. Korea. They all have intel treaties with the US that, in part, cover situations like this.

So he’s left with:

- Sweden. Not a sure bet.
- Switzerland. Not a sure bet, and since the agreement over Swiss banking extradition, who knows what else is in that agreement.
- African countries. Totally useless. Worse than useless.
- The PRC.
- Russia.
- India. A wild card.
- Muslim countries. Yea, let’s not even go there.

Of all the options left, going to Hong Kong is about the best option on the list. Lots of people there speak English. They have a large media concentration (in both English and Chinese). They have a very good ‘net infrastructure. And, as you point out, he’s basically on the doorstep of a up-and-coming world player.

Colmes was on Fox saying Repubs were ok with it before with Bush, “so what is good for the goose is good for the gander.”.

Nobody knew this was going on. I thought it picked up key words, or targeted people. Not Everyone and everything.

<...”He believes that he is only disclosing things he believes are in the public interest”....>

That’s a lie...and he knows it.....what he’s really saying is he’s in charge....and will use stolen information at his discretion when and how he wants.

No secret he went after the UK Summit after they refused him to board any of their airlines.....

No secret he revealed information of spying on China when O and the Chinese leader were meeting the first time.

He’s playing cards with the big boys and this has nothing to do with the American people. He’s clearly in over his head..but has yet to realize that...fool says it well.

“Initially I was very encouraged. Unfortunately, the mainstream media now seems far more interested in what I said when I was 17 or what my girlfriend looks like rather than, say, the largest program of suspicionless surveillance in human history.”

That’s the MSM for ya.

Well put.

I’m still taking this in and haven’t reached a conclusion on his motives. But, I will say this...we, as citizens, have been railroaded pretty badly. We are desperate for transparency.

Good point.

Everyone gave good answers to my question.

I’ve gotten the sense from him that he sees himself as a citizen of the world more than as an American.

Still, I’m grateful for the information he’s provided even while I’m not much enamored of him.

I don’t care if Snowden is a hero or a traitor or a chinese spy. The fact is that he has received world wide attention exposing Obama. Obama is a bigger threat to the constitution than Snowden in my opinion.

He has been more effective in hurting Obama than Palin, Drudge, Rush, Breitbart, Beck, or Sheriff Joe. They haven’t even been able to paint him as a tea party extremist or a right wing nut or even an NRA member.

Besides, the government shouldn’t worry about us knowing what they are doing if they have nothing to hide...

‘O’ isn’t concerned as some might think....in fact his asperations are not affected...as we see. He has enough “protection” around him..and people willing to take the fall for him... that’ he is frankly untouchable....at least until those in power are finished with him....we aren’t there yet.

I say again Snowden has done nothing we haven’t already known or heard......but it sure is keeping us all occupied from what is moving along worldwide and throughout our nation.

Sometimes i think we’re all being treated like children...”Snowden is “showtime”...while the adults have us occupied they move forward with their plans.

One thing is for sure, O doesn’t need to rely on poll numbers anymore.

Actually Eddie you are very old news. You have outlived your news cycle and your fifteen minutes of infamy.

The story of the day on CNN seems to be some billionaire sugar daddy who put his hands around the neck of his celebrity chef trophy wife in a public restaurant in London.

Looking forward to it like one might the next tabloid scandal papers....that’s about all it’s going to be worth when all is said and done.

What the hell did his reference to The Gang of Eight mean?

Every time there’s major legislation pending we end up with a Gang of 8 or or 6 etc. .so that flew past me.

This has me intensely curious, too.

I feel like I should turn on CSPAN and see who, if anybody, is twitching about now.
