Rubio Aide: ‘There Are American Workers Who, For Lack of a Better Term, Can’t Cut It’
National Review ^ | Sunday June 16, 2013

Politico’s Playbook has an excerpt from a new Ryan Lizza piece from the New Yorker that is not yet online. It contains a passage on the back-and-forth between labor and the Chamber that has a quote from a Rubio staffer that is going to raise eyebrows, to say the least:

“There are American workers who, for lack of a better term, can’t cut it. There shouldn’t be a presumption that every American worker is a star performer. There are people who just can’t get it, can’t do it, don’t want to do it. And so you can’t obviously discuss that publicly.”

If we ended welfare and unemployment, most of those workers who can’t cut it would learn to cut it so fast that Rubio could not even say, “God bless my Latino brothers and sisters; viva la Reconquista!” before these workers would now cut it. They would have to cut it or else!

This really is getting worse and worse. There is no reason to give citizens of other countries who are here illegally, a damn thing!

Why would anyone think such a person would be a good American citizen?

The moral decline in America and not confined to the working class. Lack of work ethic has its counterpart in a general decline in business ethics by the owner class.

At one time, America had an abundance of marginal jobs for marginal workers.

Like drinking and toking weed a little too much to operate heavy machinery safely? There are jobs shoveling chickensh*t where sobriety and work attention don't matter so much.

At least there used to be, until we imported illegals to take these jobs. Now, they are even competing with home grown slackers for welfare checks.

I don’t think everyone realizes what this is about. It’s not just to give the democrats all these millions of hispanic votes.

It’s to tip the demographics so that conservatives can’t win and so the republican party and the nation will be controlled by moderate socialist progressives.

All idea of fiscal responsibility, America as a world leader, America as a christian nation, is to be ended.

Wait. Two separate issues. I agree with the aid. I disagree vehemently with the current immigration bill.

The boy who wanted to pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform a few years back out of loyalty to his Mexican nanny, used the term that illegals were needed to do the lowly jobs that Americans wouldn't do.

Rubio evidently kicked that line up a notch.

Rubio ought to cut his losses now, and go over to the Dems where he belongs.

Hillary was screwed out of the nomination by an Africa-American with a Muslim name. Wouldn't it be funny if she lost it this time to another nobody with an Hispanic name.

This is a classic, age-old, time-worn story. The ant and the grasshopper. The three little pigs.

When you have a group of people who build a successful society where most people prosper, and that society is head-and-shoulders above what those around them experience, then it is natural for the outsiders to covet and desire what the hard-working builders of the successful society want.

The problem begins when the power-mongers within the successful society begin to appeal to the base desires of those outside their society, because they can't appeal to the builders within their own society anymore. That's when the keys to the gates get passed to others who didn't participate in the building of the society, but now, in masses large enough to swamp and overwhelm the original builders, set their sights on moving in, taking over, and shoving aside the original people.

The treason is that the power-mongers believe that they can rule over the new outsiders in order to sustain their own power. They will soon learn that the outsiders are not builders, and that the society cannot continue to prosper in the ways that their prior original society builders did.

Exactly. And the GOP power brokers don’t mind if they lose a couple of elections because they have no interest in vigorously opposing the Democrat agenda. So they let the Dems install the socialist state with barely a peep. They dream of managing that bureaucracy, not fighting political battles to cut it.

The beltway GOP want deals and K Street cashola. Conservatives are the only people in the GOP with a bedrock ideology so naturally the beltway GOP want us marginalized.

Church going illegal’s drive brand new cars from stolen money, from IRS and liar in chief. I bet the preacher man never tells his sorry arse church goers they are stealing and praying at the same time. Illegal’s are getting 20k to 30k from the IRS. THIEVES!

I think the key words here are “temporary worker program.”

We had a lot of ‘braceros’ who worked the fields during WWII, since our boys were fighting the war that Mexico sat out.
When they didn’t want to leave, Ike assisted them: ‘Operation Wetback.’

‘Green’ “immigrants” don’t complain, as you say, because they know if they do there are six more guys on hangers in a closet of the ‘safe house’ they’re flopping in anxious for the work.
The public service unions are anxious to sign-on the illegals who have been here a while and the Chamber of Commerce anticipates another huge wave of pliable, ‘hard-working’, easily cowed, low-wage slaves.

And if the Chicago definition of an “honest politician”: ‘A guy who’s
bought, and stays bought,’ applies here, the Gang is anxious to prove their honesty to the Chamber and labor unions.

Remember when our immigration policy was determined by what was good for the country? No longer!

Here's the plan--(Rubio is a big, fat LIAR) What’s going to happen in the next few weeks, possibly by July 4th, the Senate will pass the amnesty bill. At the same time the House is going to pass a Trojan horse bill that will sound good and that will secure the borders. The problem with that is they’re both going to be sent to conference committee, where amnesty is going to be added to the Trojan horse bill. The Senate will vote yes on final passage and send it to the House. Led by Nancy Pelosi, the House Democrats will ALL vote for the bill because it will assure permanent Democratic political majority, and a few Republican committee chairs will provide the final votes needed for passage. That way the president will have amnesty for illegals and the country will be fast‑tracked to permanent progressivism. Contact your congresscritters and let them know YOU know. Alert all the people you can to do the same.
