EgyptAir Flight 985, which was on its way to JFK from Cairo, was escorted to Glasgow by Royal Air Force Typhoon fighter jets this morning after a note reading, "I'll set this plane on fire" was found in the planes bathroom by BBC producer Nada Tawfik, who happened to be on board the Boeing 777. As she told her employer, "It almost looked like a child's handwriting or someone who has very sloppy handwriting, but it was very alarming especially these days when everyone is so concerned about safety on flights. I said to one of the stewardesses 'I don't know if this is a prank,' they said no, it can't be a prank. Either someone has a very bad sense of humor or, you know, it's very scary." The AP reports that there were no injuries, and the police in Scotland are interviewing the aircraft's 326 passengers.
An Arabic BBC producer finds a death threat note on board an aircraft..hmmm..
This is the dog-whistle for Western aviation: we have manpads we tested against Putin’s aircraft, and YOU ARE NEXT.
How do we know she didn’t write it?
Next, there will be a sign in sheet to use airplane bathroom.
Maybe the note said “Airline food sets my ass on fire.”
EgyptAir just needs to look at the video from the surveillance camera in the bathroom to determine the perp.
red flag right there.
