While Biden set to jumpstart push for gun control next week

...

Stunning victory for gun rights in Nevada!

You guys did a tremendous job bombarding Governor n Sandoval’s office with phone calls, and he has listened to your appeals.

Governor Sandoval vetoed the Universal Background Check bill yesterday, and now, the anti-gun Left is in full-mourning.

The Associated Press reports that, “It is a significant defeat for New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's gun control advocacy group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns [MAIG]. The organization spent hundreds of thousands of dollars working to get the bill passed through to the governor.”

Despite Bloomberg’s fortune, his anti-gun MAIG simply doesn’t have the grassroots behind it.

GOA was joined by other groups on Tuesday, June 4, in asking Nevada gun owners to urge Sandoval to veto the legislation.

The next day, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal, “2,200 people called his office between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.... Four out of five calls [were] for the veto.”

According to the Journal, this onslaught was one of the chief reasons that the Governor set up a hotline number. His office simply couldn’t get work done as they were being “bombarded by calls from people who want the governor to veto the gun control bill passed by the Legislature.”

Once the Governor set up a hotline number -- and Bloomberg started running ads urging people nationwide to call it -- GOA urged gun owners nationwide (last Friday) to call Sandoval’s office.

As of this past Tuesday, more than 100,000 calls had already been placed to the Governor. And this just underscores how important it is for gun owners to join GOA’s email service....

Nor California—where I live. But I’ll take one for the team. This place is heinous and must be vetoed.

Anything that pisses on Reid and Bloomburg, esp. on Friday is good. Finally we get a “Friday dump” that is good for America.

Nothing like crapping on two of America’s worst politicians, and when they die, we’ll piss on their graves just to express ourselves in no uncertain terms.

This is my “trickle down theory”, and I approve of it.

Thanks for that. The asshat senator who started it is furious and says if no national legislation comes about in the next 2 years he will bring it back. Trust me, we will be more than ready the next time. We went to the assembly judicial committee meeting and I was totally astounded at the amount of out of staters they had lined up to support this piece of garbage. I, for one, will get VERY involved next time. We only moved to NV less than 2 years ago so were kind of novices to the way things worked here. Reno/Washoe county sheriff was one of the 2 who supported it. Clark county/LV was the other one.

Yeah, well justin time jones said if the feds don’t do it he’ll bring it back next session. Little does he know that some of us learned a valuable lesson this time around and we’ll be loaded for bear if/when it comes back. I ain’t doin’ nothin’ else so I got plenty of time to make trips back and forth to CC to irritate them by telling the truth. They hate that.

99% of politicians hate the truth. If I had the money, I would hit CC myself. Too bad I don’t live in Reno...

and people think GOA is an inferior version of the NRA...GOA gets the job done.

At least GOA doesn’t have the liberal anti-gun Dems like Harry Reid on their lobby list unlike the NRA..
