Distractions aside, Jeb Bush speech stood out as sober, serious (Fertile immigrant amnesty alert)

Republicans considering running for president over the past six years have been delivering red meat to the base at conservative confabs.

But Jeb Bush Friday did not fit the mold.

The former Florida governor, mulling a 2016 bid, followed the retiring firebrand Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) at the Faith and Freedom Coalition. But while Bachmann and the other speakers here, including Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) -- the 2012 vice-presidential nominee -- treaded familiar turf by railing against government and President Barack Obama, Bush didn’t go there.

“I won’t be pointing out the failures of the Obama administration,” Bush said to silence here. “They’re clear for those that want to see them.”

Yes... if the gop/e runs a progressive, it will be time to show them how small they are without the base. Either way we lose but I expect my direct enemies (commiecrats) to try to destroy me... those that pretend to represent me but work in alliance with my enemies to destroy me... (the republican leadership)... deserve destruction themselves.

Tens of millions of black abortions plus tens of millions of “fertile” Latinos imported. The African-American is being dumped and replaced in the largest demographic shift in human history.

Pope Benedict Says Nations Have the Right to Secure their Borders

Pope Benedict XVI reiterated the Catholic church's position on immigration, saying that nations have the right to regulate the flow of migrants and secure their borders. His comment is consistent with what the church has said in the past, but contradicts the position of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. In his statement, Pope Benedict XVI said individuals have the right to leave their country, but that doesn't mean that nations have to take them in.

”At the same time, states have the right to regulate migration flows and to defend their own frontiers, always guaranteeing the respect due to the dignity of each and every human person,” Pope Benedict XVI said.

They are not coming from Rome If you want to make a statement claimed as fact any thinking person would request that you do a little research But Rome is not directly instructing our government. Prove it if that’s wrong And the catechism which does instruct carholics actually instructs them to rebuke illegal immigrants and abide by the law Anyone not underrstanding this is as wrong as any enatorial pushing for this travesty

I did not say Rome directly instructs our government. Rome does influence our government by the sheer number of elected and appointed Catholics within government.

Both the political leaders in WDC seem not to hide the relationship that means most to some.

I think Jeb is a moderate liberal, and he will sell anything to the progressive movement for the promise of personal fortune and opportunity.

So who is in charge? Saying one thing yet ignoring the very obvious seems more than a bit disingenuous at the very least.

That means he straddles the border—like his brother.

We need a Photoshop update to this:

Once they get over here with all the free birth control and abortions they will not be so fertile any longer. When women have access to birth control they simply do not have as many children. It is too difficult to care for so many in an industrial society.

Sinners, the corrupt, and saints: Pope Francis focused on these three groups in his homily for Mass Monday morning in at the Casa Santa Marta. The Pope said the corrupt do great harm to the Church because they are worshipers of themselves; the saints, on the other hand, do great good, they are lights in the Church.

Unfortunately some bishops (those who disregard Church teaching in regard to this and other matters) apparently fall into the "corrupt" category.

Then why not clean God's house? At present all Catholics I know personally and interact with, have the Biden-Pelosie-Kennedy political/religious mentality. None of them have any problem with the legislating me into funding their religious priorities. From Planned Parenthood to the illegal invasion. They despise the conservative rich but envy them with the greenest of green envy. And at least half of these I know spend more time in a church than they do in their own homes. It is like the rot is from the top down.

Strangest thing was all their Bush bashing over the war in Iraq and not even a squeak over all these that have die under this administrations wars. I have fully come to understand that word compartmentalization. It is liberalism in a dark reality.

Ok I checked the first article because CNA is a reputable catholic reporter.

LAME

you cited a year old article reporting on th former pope talking in Rome to eastern representatives about being certain to catechize emigrants to th us and other countries

Get that? Legal emigrants fleeing war and religious persecution

To be certain to properly catechize so they can contribute to the us legally and morally

I have a life to lead and have not another minute to dispute factually your anti catholic hatred so acceptable on thos forum

Spew at someone else

But one more thing. This current pope knows all about this garbage from dealing with it In Argentina his whole life up and through his cardinal ship

The church simply does not make stuff up as it goes along. Some in it do but outside of its laws

There are very few US politicians that care one bit about what the church teaches beyond their own political interests and you know it

So, no. The pope does not endorse this

If he makes it through the next primary, it will be a hard call, unless the Democrat is so insanely leftist...

Which is it? The Pope is or is not the vicar of Christ? http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/15403b.htm

Christ at least when He was in a flesh body cleaned out His Temple. Maybe Jeb is putting forth building blocks to sainthood. Old Teddy Kennedy sure produced a goodly sum.

Hate? Good grief.... I am a free born American. I resent being forced to pay for other peoples religion most especially when the evidence is a plenty that is does NOT work. I mean really now, why is the religious state of Mexico so poor and corrupt along with a host of other nations. I do not believe for one minute it is God's will.

The Mexicans boted for BO 72%

They are a very pro abortion group, as adherent to the Churchs laws as theya r eto our laws in the US.

It is not a Catholic group.

Jeb is the front runner this week in the GOP e and whoever it is who runs them.

We are all interested in minimizing that.

It has nothing to do with Catholicism.

If you think it is then you are misinformed and the Catechism is available on line if you wish to BE informed about that which you are so vocal against.

So when does one begin to question when the Catechism is not followed from the bottom up or the top down? So what percentage did the Irish vote for BO? Now just an aside on one side of my family are Baptists as well as many friends. They are born and bred democrats. So liberalism is very much alive and reproducing in all denominations. Just that these Baptists are far fewer in having one particular leader, and their organizing powers are not as dominant. This nation is in trouble, big trouble and it does not serve US well to ignore the obvious.

A winning strategy so far, eh?

They're not finished. The democrat party has been hijacked by Satan. The republican party has been hijacked by liberals. The republican transformation has just begun.

Then why not clean God’s house?

God’s house is occupied by sinners (which we all are). And God gives everyone a free will to either follow Him or reject Him. The only way to thoroughly clean the house would be to eject all the occupants. That’s not to say that the egregious offenders such as Pelosi, Biden, Kennedys, etc. shouldn’t be excommunicated; they should be (as Sebelius was by her bishop). But the problem is the worldliness of certain bishops and cardinals who love to rub shoulders with the rich and powerful rather than perform their duty to teach, sanctify and govern in accordance with Church teachings. And their scandalous disregard for Church teachings is misleading and corrupting the souls in their charge, as you see.

“I have fully come to understand that word compartmentalization. It is liberalism in a dark reality.”

Yup. If they didn’t compartmentalize, the cognitive dissonance would be too much for them to bear.
