Republicans considering running for president over the past six years have been delivering red meat to the base at conservative confabs.
But Jeb Bush Friday did not fit the mold.
The former Florida governor, mulling a 2016 bid, followed the retiring firebrand Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) at the Faith and Freedom Coalition. But while Bachmann and the other speakers here, including Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) -- the 2012 vice-presidential nominee -- treaded familiar turf by railing against government and President Barack Obama, Bush didnt go there.
I wont be pointing out the failures of the Obama administration, Bush said to silence here. Theyre clear for those that want to see them.

NBC is just trying to muddy the water.
I’m afraid he’ll have to drop his bid for president after that insensitive “fertile” comment. Clearly the GOP needs to vet these clowns better.
Paybacks’ a bitch ain’t it Karl?
I’ve heard it would be a lot cheaper for USA to bring in all of Mexico’s senior citizens and pay for their retirement than it’s costing us now bringing in all of the illegals that are coming here.
He’s making NBC and CNN happy to have something to talk about.
Elitist

Stay outta da Bushes.
No he’s the man s boy. They’ll lap up anything he says until hes up against just their pick. You know the drill
Okay, he hasn’t been drinking and still holds views I don’t share. Thanks... LOL
Jeb Bush SOUNDS like a Racist
The base did not turn out for Romney and it won't turn out for Jeb. Good luck getting the illegals to make up the difference.
If Karl Rove gave a superb speech touting conservative values, would any conservative vote for him for president?
No, because of his previous performance. He lacks credibility based on his behavior.
Now look at Jeb Bush. He is erudite. But at the same time, he is a Bush, and we have had two example of why the Bush family should never again walk on the national stage.
The best thing Jeb Bush could do would be to limit his activities to electing Republican candidates who win primaries. It should not matter what kind of Republican they are. If they won the primary, and will face a Democrat, support them. Beyond that, nothing.
"This perfectly illustrates what I call a "dysron"--one who functions at the analytic level of a moron, because of an ideological or neurotic conditioning (fear & compulsion driven), that leaves an otherwise normal IQ level, dysfunctional.
"What Jeb is describing is replacing his own people, in the land of their fathers, for a temporary economic benefit! Those who risked everything to create the America that he & other dysrons are destroying, must be rolling in their graves.
"My forebears did not arrive until the 19th Century, but I understand my sworn duty to uphold the America that our founders created. What I offered in 2006 as a rebuttal to his brother, applies equally to Jeb Bush: Answer To President Bush On Immigration.
"If this be not Treason, it is at least its second cousin."

I thought it was a great talk. We’ve got to start offering a program, and this was business friendly and positive. And his comment about “fertile” sure freaked out the libs! From Margaret Sanger on down, they’ve never liked what they referred to as “those little brown people.”
He was a good governor for Florida. My only reservation about him as a presidential candidate is that he’s not aggressive enough. All the Bush boys were brought up to be “gentlemen,” but the problem is that in contemporary politics, unless you get a little ungentlemanly every now and then, people lose interest in you and begin to write you off. That was one of GWB’s big problems. Job is more outgoing, but I’m still not sure he’s aggressive enough.
“THIS IS WHO WE... THE LEFTARD COMMIE MEDIA... WANT TO HAVE RUN AGAINST QUEEN HILlARY”
You are incorrect as are most Catholics who do not consult their founding documents one simply cannot make up the rules of the church nor ascribe to it what they think it is about
The fact is that the catechism clearly states, regardless of any archbishop ignores, that the church is not to pose its will into politics, it is not Togo against a country’s laws and it is never to impose itself onto illegal immigration as By so doing it will deplete the nation of integrity and resources rendering it to asstst it’s own as well as foreign people
Look it up
I don’t even think it is intended that he win. Jeb would be there to play the role of John McCain in the 2016 election soap opera.
Where is Jeb Bush’s first loyalty? Church then family, then country. What Rome calls for Jeb will enforce. And Rome does not give one wit about US citizenship. We are rich and we are required to be charitable. The plate is just been enlarged and getting ready to be passed. They call it social justice.
.........
Jeb’s first loyalty is to his family.
That means he straddles the border—like his brother.
