The Wall Street Journal ^ | June 13, 2013 | Nathalie Tadena

Ms. Palin became a national celebrity after her unsuccessful 2008 vice presidential turned into a media career as a paid Fox News contributor from January 2010 to January of this year. The Wall Street Journal reported in January that Ms. Palin wouldn't be renewing her contract with the cable news networking, citing a person familiar with the matter.

"I've had several conversations with Governor Palin in the past few weeks about her rejoining Fox News as a contributor," Mr. Ailes said Thursday. "I have great confidence in her and am pleased that she will once again add her commentary to our programming."

Ms. Palin will appear on Fox News Channel's daytime and primetime programming, starting with Fox & Friends on Monday. She will also contribute to Fox Business Network.....

She has over FOUR MILLION followers on Facebook and another MILLION on Twitter. Anything she wants to talk about is world-wide news in a fraction of a second.

Might want to ask Ted Cruz, Nikki Haley, Marco Rubio, John McCain, Terry Branstad, Jason Smith, Martha Zoller and a bunch of other people about that...

Palin is the most effective endorser in history, you didn’t even make an effort to name challengers to that title.

You merely mentioned some who didn’t win from among her 80 or so endorsements, she has done more to shape the Congress Senate, and Governorships in her own image, than anyone in history, also.

By the way, she didn’t endorse Angle in the primary and 2010 was a stunning victory for her and conservatism, it was history making.

One can almost see a yellowish-brown cloud of stench emitting from the mouth, and nose of that has-been, lying POS Clinton as she inhales perfectly good air, and turns it into clouds of polluting gases as she exhales.

Just have to look real close, but don’t get too close, or you might die.

In today's media environment, being against illegal immigration is akin to being against mixed marriages. The moment she stakes out a position against illegal immigration, she will be looking for a new job. I don't blame her for looking out for her family - she does need to pay the bills, and TV gigs are well-remunerated. But anyone who thinks this gives her a platform for talking about immigration may end up being sorely disappointed.

May, 2010--"Sarah Palin Takes Stand on Immigration"

"Arizonans have the courage to do what the Obama administration has failed to do in its first year and a half in office, namely secure our border and enforce our federal laws," she wrote. "And as a result, Arizonans have been subjected to a campaign of baseless accusations by the same people who freely admit they haven't a clue about what they're actually campaigning against." The former Alaska governor sparked controversy Saturday with her comments at a campaign event for Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer.

"Now this state has enacted a law -- it mirrors the federal law -- which allows police to ask those they otherwise have stopped to provide a driver's license or other verification of legal presence. I think for most American people the reaction to this would be, 'Why haven't the police already been doing that?'" Palin asked the crowd.

How many of these GOP officeholders took the place of a Democratic predecessor?

I assumed it, which I know is the mother of all screw ups, but I see it as a safer assumption then assuming they left it there.

I did read here on FR that her departure was not exactly a gracious one at least as far as FOX was concerned, as I remember it was about compensation. So I assumed they would not likely leave expensive equipment at her home.

I will also step out on limb and assume FOX asked her to come back, having realized she is a real boost to the bottom line.

So in lacking complete and total information, I sometimes resort to assumptions as they often land on the truth, but I understand that may only happen to me and not to everyone.

I could also assume that this whole thing was just a ploy to increase ratings at such a time as this, which could have always been the plan.

Most of the time I preface my assumptions with statements such as “I wonder”, “Perhaps”, “Maybe” etc.

Thank You for your question and the opportunity to explain.

Dates are key. In 2010, the media was still talking about illegal immigrants. Today, they are talking about undocumented immigrants.

It’s sad she would stoop to that level.

What are you, the little kid in the back seat? You keep saying nonsense and when it is answered you merely look for something else.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it strikes me that all of these people are Republicans either running for re-election or replacing Republican predecessors. Where are the successful Palin endorsements in Democratic strongholds? Or even purple states?

Then I don’t see the advantage for her in this deal. Well, it does put the lie to the liberal claim she was “fired.”

LOL, quit wasting our time with your childishness.

As I've said before, Palin is a kingmaker within the party. The impact of her endorsement outside of strongly red electoral districts is nugatory and perhaps even negative.

Couple things...

That’s the first I’d heard the equipment in her studio belonged to Fox. If it were my house, I’d outfit it with my own stuff and let Fox maintain it to meet their technical requirements. But it would be mine, not theirs. Maybe that’s just me.

I don’t think her departure was about money, I think it was Fox’s burying her during the GOP Convention in ‘12, and refusing to give her any air time. She was the VP candidate in ‘08, but not a peep in ‘12? Something wasn’t right about that. It’s as if they’d hired her in order to spike her. Baseball teams have been known to do that with pitchers they don’t want to face.

This whole story doesn’t meet a smell test for me, and I’ll believe it when I see her on.

Terry Branstad was replacing a Republican? News to me. His two predecessors were Chet Culver and Tom Vilsack, both Democrats. South Carolina has only had five Republican governors in the modern era (including Gov. Haley).

Please indulge me with a quick logic check: Did Sarah Palin’s endorsement make John McCain’s reelection possible in ‘10?

I'll give you Branstad, but Haley was replacing Sanford.
