I quit listening because of this. Started listening when it was still a local show (1988)
I agree, as much as I like Rush, and as much as he usually sees through RINOs, on this one he has been totally played by Rubio. He wanted to like him so much, that he became infatuated with him. When Rubio was on his show last time he treated him with velvet gloves.
Today he pretty much admitted that he was played. I hope he will come out and make a full throated admissions that he was wrong in giving Rubio the benefit of the doubt.

I thought that Rubio would turn out to be a fraud. Kept my thoughts to myself, but in that interview on Rush’s show, I didn’t like some of what I heard, and more importantly, the tone Rubio used in his explanation. My wife, who is unusually prescient about these things, said she heard deceit in Rubio’s voice in that interview.
She was right.
I remembering listening to the Rush show when he had Rubio on. He challenged Rubio quite well. After Rubio was off the show, Rush commented that Rubio had no answers for the questions and issues that he raised.
Rush did his job quite well.

Rush does NOT “allow” people to come on to his show. I don’t believe he has had more than 5 guests in his 25 years on the air. This makes me believe you have never or at best, rarely heard his show.
