WASHINGTON — The State Department has hired an alarming number of law-enforcement agents with criminal or checkered backgrounds because of a flawed hiring process, a stunning memo obtained by The Post reveals.

The background problems are severe enough that many of the roughly 2,000 agents in State’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security can play only limited roles in agency efforts to police bad conduct and prosecute wrongdoers.

...

“Department intakes of new . . . officers since the hiring surge a decade ago have reportedly been flawed, with ‘mitigation’ of troubling histories including criminal matters,” according to a December 2012 memo to State Deputy Inspector General Harold Geisel from a team leader in the IG’s Office.

“I suppose everyone is “surprised” at how well the criminals fit right in.”

I’m not surprised they’d find ways to fit in and I’ll bet that because they know their jobs may be at stake, they tend to be more reliable since they can’t afford even one slip-up (one might think and rightly so).

It’s the ones who don’t become criminals until they start working for the government who are the most dangerous and difficult to identify, especially when they’ve been assigned to positions of power in “Human Resources”.

The State Department has hired an alarming number of law-enforcement agents with criminal or checkered backgrounds because of a flawed hiring process... ...apparently, the same hiring process used by the city of DC during the Marion Barry days.

And yet the BMW plant in South Carolina isn’t allowed to do criminal background checks on applicants.

The number of cabinet employees who are felons, not yet convicted, is the number that will amaze you!

I’m betting most of them are of the Affirmative Action persuasion....

Another thread covers BMW being hassled because criminal checks filter out a disproportionate number of people from "protected classes".

hillary - “What difference does it make???”

Just another minor, unimportant ‘kerfuffle.’

“..because of a flawed hiring practice”??? If that’s the case, why is 0bama’s EEOC suing companies for failing to hire ex-felons? It appears the ‘flaw’ is 0bama himself.

smuggling

abandoning Ambassadors in the field

intending them as hostage trade fodder

covering up child prostitution

threatening kids of DOS whistle-blowers

hiring criminals

Wow, sounds like....ARKANSAS.

And here is a rumor: the SEALs who waxed OBL and tossed his pad found a document in OBL’s writing indicating that some AQ attacks on US forces had been arranged by HILLARY.

And that document is still in some kind of West Point database.

We are subjected openly to outrage after outrage after outrage, and the lid is still on the pot, but there will be a final outrage that pops that lid off eventually.
