Rand Paul to Illegals: ‘We Will Find a Place for You;' Envisions 12 Million ‘New Taxpayers’
CNS News ^ | 061213 | Terence P. Jeffrey

Posted on 06/12/2013 8:23:21 AM PDT by Fred

(CNSNews.com) - In his prepared text for a speech he is delivering today at the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference and Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles, Sen. Rand Paul (R.-Ky.) said to illegal aliens who want to live and work in the United States: “[W]e will find a place for you.”

Paul also said he envisions today’s illegal aliens becoming additional “taxpayers.”

“Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers,” said Paul.

Illegal aliens working in the United States today are not exempted from complying with the nation's tax laws anymore than they are exempted from complying with U.S. laws governing immigration or document fraud.

Twelve million new sources of government mammon, eh. That is all this boils down to? Keep dreaming of it then, Ramnesty Paul; they will be a drain on tax revenue, Mr. Big Government.

Well, that is a pretty good argument against legalizing pot. Rand Paul is obviously smoking something...

“Friends don’t let friends smoke pot and legislate.”

Stupid. Just plain stupid. We refuse to enforce the law so we invite the criminals to join us. Might as well say if someone breaks into your house they are entitled to then be your family member.

Hey Senator Paul if all you’re after is 12 million new taxpayers, you’d think it’d be better for the country if they were YOUR OWN DAMN CITIZENS.

I don’t get it. Rand Paul needs to do some research and find out that studies have shown only about 20% of these people have any interest in becoming US citizens. Most of these illegals are Mexicans. They are highly nationalistic and they have no desire to give up being Mexican citizens. They just want to cash in on the freebies here. Most will never come out of the shadows. So much for the 12 million new taxpayers.

Also, what about states like AZ and GA my state who have passed strict laws to keep the illegals out and keep them from getting welfare, drivers licenses etc. If this bill passes both houses then the illegals will flood back in here. We just got rid of a good portion of them and I cannot tell you how much better life is without them.

This apparently insane rush by “conservatives” for amnesty for illegals is incomprehensible. The only reasonable explanation is that we do not know something important about how and why this is being done. Do they have intel suggesting that without an open door and amnesty for illegals, the Mexican government will fall to Islamists? Is Obama using NSA data for extortion of Repub lawmakers? Is there a plan to destroy the senate bill through amendments entering rules unacceptable to the Dems? Is there a secret plan to indeed build a real border fence despite Dem opposition? The simple fact is that when someone suddenly and incomprehensibly changes his opinion 180 degrees, there has to be a good reason.

It looks like Rand Paul is not all that he may appear, just another wacko like his old man. Had enough with the likes of Rubio, Paul, McCain, Grahame et al. Looks like the last man standing will be Ted Cruz...hope he don’t f it up.

I am convinced that there is something very important that we don’t know. And, honestly, I do t know what it could be except extortion.

He has to support it. It’s a done deal. Opposing it gains him nothing.

It is more likely to me, that he sees them as possible new Republican voters, and better still, new payers into the tax pot...

Shakes head. No other nation is foolish enough to welcome unapologetic criminals so warmly.

Our “representatives” serve no one but themselves...

Dear Lord, give us strength.

Many already are. This notion of all this under the table stuff is bull. The bill is still bad. It must be defeated, but the idea that these folks are paid under the table is fantasy.

How very “libertarian” of him...
Just scratched off the dwindling list....

Self serving greed, FRiend. Nothing more. 0 has shown them that all they have to do to change the rules, is to ignore them...

Other than the stalwart few, they are all thicker than thieves. They will not give up their perceived power willingly, but sadly, it will take the collapse of the country for them to realize they hold no power at all.

Please Lord, guide our course.
