Mickey Kaus, the author, is a great ally on Immigration, but he's a committed Democrat on just about everything else.

He doesn't understand why Conservatives are not energized in 2013 the same way we were in 2006 when we crushed the Bush Amnesty.

So, what's the real reason for Conservative apathy?

Conservatives are completely demoralized and exhausted by the leadership of the Republican Party.

Politically, it has been one betrayal after another for 25 years.

Millions of Conservatives are simply resigned to the fact that America will continue to move Hard Left no matter who we elect or how much we protest.
