Exhibit A for a Major Shift: Justices’ Gay Clerks
The New York Times ^ | June 8, 2013 | Adam Liptak

Posted on 06/09/2013 7:58:52 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

As Justice Lewis F. Powell Jr. was struggling with how to cast the decisive vote in a 1986 Supreme Court case that would end up devastating the gay rights movement, he told his fellow justices that he had never met a homosexual.

In truth, one of his four law clerks that term was gay.

The atmosphere at the court today is far different from 1986, with a pace of change that may have surpassed that in the rest of society. Openly gay law clerks are now common in the chambers of both liberal and conservative justices. In January, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. formally admitted about 30 members of the National LGBT Bar Association to the Supreme Court’s bar, the first time lawyers with a gay legal group achieved that status.

As the justices consider two major cases on same-sex marriage, with decisions expected this month, they are, of course, focused on legal issues. But students of the court say other factors may also play a role....

...and the clerks control EVERYTHING, including the trashing of E-Mails and letters addressed to the justices, who, they say, are supposed to be “isolated from politics”.

It is SICKENING, but not surprising. The Republicans STILL USE gays as top advisers - even after they helped engineer their defeats in the past two presidential elections, and very nearly engineered Gore’s victory in 2000.

I don’t mean to denigrate gays (here), but how can a pollster and communications chairman who identifies himself primarily by a sexual identity shared by 3% of the country, be helpful to our side? Even the Dems know enough to stay clear of these people for top campaign positions.

We’re thoroughly infiltrated and compromised by subhuman, murderous troglodyte muslim garbage, and faggot filth, at all levels of society, the Military and gov’t. The ‘remedy’ isn’t pleasant.

New Coke, Madonna actually could sing, CHIPs, Knight Rider, Mork & Mindy, $7 lawn chairs, phone booths on every corner, Bubble Yum, 79-cent gas, wax-paper cups for soda, Atari, wine coolers were in style, PACMAN cereal, big wooden TV sets (24-inch screen), Alf, BIC pens were still 19-cents, the Goonies, Reagan could utter 32 words and make you shed a tear, Popeye the Move actually made sense, Micheal Keaton defined Batman, and the Smurfs were probably the best clean cartoon on TV.

“Steve Schmidt.”

Good call. I wasn’t even thinking about him. Wikipedia has NOTHING on his personal life, which usually means one thing, so yep, yet another one infiltrating the Republicans.

I was think of Ken Mehlman and some other clown, but can’t remember his name. So now there are 3 of them.

It’s starting to look like Roosevelt near the end, when Communists were at virtually every level of power in his administration.

The other one may be Frank Luntz. He denies it, but it’s all over the web, and he’s ‘unmarried’ per Wikipedia.

"It’s starting to look like Roosevelt near the end, when Communists were at virtually every level of power in his administration."

He had his share at the beginning but at the end, Wallace was dumped for Truman. At the time, he was regarded as a pretty successful depression and war time President. Hard to imagine that any of today's politicians would be elected 4 times.

This is TYRANNY. Special interest groups worming their way to the levers of power. The court is rigged.

How can Frank Luntz be gay? No gay man would buy a wig as cheap as that. Unless, of course, the bad wig is his beard.

Why would anyone know that they are “gay”, unless they are outspoken about their sexual practices (unlike every heterosexual I know)?

What is it that makes you believe the goal is for the Republicans to win? I haven’t seen anything by the Republican top dogs that would make me think that way.
