In his June 4 column in The Washington Times, Frank J. Gaffney Jr. asked if Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) is serious about running for president in 2016--or if he'd rather just be an accepted fixture in the Washington establishment.
In other words, Rubio's vote on the immigration overhaul is going to tell us whether he plans on being president or if he's happy just being the next Senator John McCain.
Here's how Gaffney put it:
If Mr. Rubio is content with merely paying lip service to the safety and security of the American people, he will continue to enable the adoption of this 1,077-page monstrosity....If, on the other hand, Mr. Rubio actually does take seriously his responsibility as a federal lawmaker to provide for the common defense, and if he seriously aspires to the presidency, there is simply no way he can enable this bill's enactment in anything remotely like its present form.
Gaffney fears that Rubio "wants it both ways" at present, but that's simply not going to work. He backs this up by showing that "bill's present structure makes a mockery of claims that border security comes first."

Rubio wants to be Chris Christie.
Rubio is already the next McCain. Whether or not he votes for it in the Senate, he voted for it in committee and made it possible for Harry Reid and company to push it.
It’s too late for him to hedge now. He voted FOR when it really counted.
Rubio can run all he wants in 2016, but he will NOT be elected president... so he’s going to have to be satisfied with being McCain II.

He wants to be the next “winnable” republican! Like Dole and McCain and Romney!

He’s going to have to fight McCain’s boy Lindsay Graham for the position.
He gave a speech to the Penn Club last year which explored in meticulous detail how we were giving sanctuary to jihadists of all kinds in the name of multiculturalism.
I hope he wants nothing more than a garbage collector!

No doubt Rubio is likely jealous of Ted Cruz, but I find it hard to believe Rubio is that dumb to say such. (Note: I absolutely despise Rubio)
What a stupid idiot he is. Maybe he is dating Bawney Fwank.
What Rubio wants to do most of all right now is shed his Tea Party conservative label and be a man of La Raza. That’s what all this trashing of conservatives and Schumer butt kissing is about.
I am not clicking any more links tonight. So I can only say, Rubio is who I thought he was, a poser.
