It’s hard to find two women more pro-abortion than Marlo Thomas and Amy Richards. But the Girl Scouts love ‘em.
These two feminists headlined a recent Girl Scout-sponsored live screening and panel discussion of the “acclaimed documentary MAKERS,” a feminist, pro-abortion, video narrative of “trailblazing” women whose “pioneering contributions” changed America.
What kind of pioneering contributions? I’ll get to that in a minute. (Amy Richards’ ‘contribution’ particularly deserves comment.) But, first, a bit more about the Girl Scout-sponsored event.
Billed as an opportunity to “celebrate women and girls,” the screening and discussion took place on May 9, 2013 in New York City. The event, co-sponsored by Girls, Inc. of NYC and the public broadcasting station WNET, featured Girl Scouts front and center. From the banner backdrop on stage, sporting the logo of the Girl Scouts of Greater New York, to the moderator’s warm shout outs to the Girl Scouts in the audience, to the college-student panelist who identified herself as a former Girl Scout, the event was all about promoting MAKERS to the Girl Scouts.

This shameful organization must be renounced & shunned by every God-fearing American. I got flamed here last week by some FReeper who touts herself as a fine woman for leading a Girl Scout troop. Oh yeah, lady? Well YOU may be a good troop leader, but when you’re enabling this trash to go on at the national level, and make no mistake that you are, it’s time to do some serious soul-searching.
In an odd way I am glad to see the Girl Scouts making public what I have known for a very long time about their agenda and allegiance. It makes it easier for me to explain to people why I refuse to buy cookies and why my three daughters will never be scouts.
I am truly saddened by the boy scouts now being overrun by the same perverted agenda. My husband earned his Eagle and I have a 10 yr old son who will never know the wonders of scouting like his dad.
Molech worshipers sacrificed their young children to their “god.” Looks like nothing changes.
The Girl Scouts are a great example of just how insidious and evil the left is. The former head of NOW took over as head the Girl Scouts a few years ago. Targeting the young is a favored tool because they know they must be patient if they want destroy the fabric of the country and if they have to wait for a generation so be it. So here we are. Mission accomplished. Now they have moved on to the Boy Scouts and the US military. Just who is going to stop them? Anyone?
I was in the Girls Scouts in the 1950s. We met in a church and did badges about ordinary things. Abortion, birth control and women’s rights were not on the agenda. It is a pleasant memory, but that world in long gone. I cannot understand how anyone could allow their daughter to be a Girl Scout today.

I guess that would be me... but hey, this crap goes on over at the White House, in Congress, and in thousands of federal and state governments and agencies every day!
and the USA is part of the UN to boot, so we pay a ton of tax dollars to people who run programs like this all over the world.
So when are you, as a God fearing American, planning to give up your citizenship? That is the answer when the leadership does things that don’t represent your values, right? Leave?
Maybe because we still meet in churches and do badges about ordinary things?
Will Ms. Richards tell her surviving child(ren) that “Hey, I love you, but I killed your sibling while they were still in my womb - aren’t you happy I picked your fetus to live?!”
Disgusting.
Ohhhhhhh I see. Because “everybody else” is doing it, it’s ok for you?
Take your moral relativism elsewhere.
