After news of PRISM came out, I wonder if Kirk was used to help Obama and Congress by saying “See, we’re spied on too!”
The question was about the phone metadata, not PRISM. The fact that these scandals are now coming out more than once a week is unnerving.
I doubt it seriously.
I can tell you that Congress doesn’t want to be spied on, and that’s a bipartisan view.
The WH thinks Congress is a bunch of whining babies, including the members in the majority with the WH. This is timeless. All Presidents have felt that way, including Johnson, who was King of Congress for a lot of years. Master of intimidation.
No, Kirk’s question was a shot over the bow - we uncover evidence of this and we’ll have what we need to impeach.
Even the dems, and the press, will acquiesce.
