Chris Christie Positions Himself for the 2016 Democrat Presidential Primary
Rush Limbaugh ^ | June 5, 2013

Posted on 06/05/2013 2:00:37 PM PDT by SMGFan

RUSH: Governor Christie of New Jersey. Let me tell you something, folks. This act of his to throw this open Senate seat because of the death of The Lout to an open election in New Jersey? Ha! I'm just gonna tell you something. I will not be surprised... I'm not predicting it officially here, but I will not be surprised, if when 2016 rolls around and Governor Christie is seeking the presidency, I won't surprised if he seeks the Democrat Party nomination.

Limbaugh was joking, If not he’s an idiot. Christie knows he wouldn’t have a chance in a Dem presidential primary.

I sort of agree with Rush, Christy has his head so far up Bozo's rear still time to suck up some more Democrat A$$ before nomination time.

I have stated that he will run as a VP for Hillary or someone else and demonstrate a willingness of the parties to work together. They will try and garnish about 60-70% of the vote with only real conservatives and way leftoids voting their conscience. All in the name of bi-partisanship. It is all about getting the middle of the road voter.

The moderate dims and loser hipster will eat that up and be fooled.

Krisp Krispy Kreme will find out when it’s too late that he was the Democrat’s favorite Republican but he loses all value to them when he becomes a Democrat.

Want to bet on that? Hillary will have a loyalist VP. The Dems might let someone like Christie run in a state office, but not for president or VP.

Limbaugh is angry that RINO N.J. Governor Chris Christie didn't appoint a Republican to fill the senate seat open due to the death of Frank Lautenberg.

Rush is joking about Christie running for the Democrat presidential nomination. I think Limbaugh sees Christie running for the GOP nomination as the 'bi-partisan, moderate' candidate the RNC always tell us are the only possible Republican candidates that can defeat a Democrat in the presidential race. We see how well that worked out with Romney in '12 and McCain in '08. Never again.

"Limbaugh is angry that RINO N.J. Governor Chris Christie didn't appoint a Republican to fill the senate seat open due to the death of Frank Lautenberg. "

Christie almost certainly will appoint a Republican to fill the seat for the four months until the October election.

The reason Christie did what he did has to do with the two badly written and contradictory NJ statutes that apply here. If he did appoint a "permanent" Republican replacement to serve out Lautenberg's term, the chances are that the NJ Supreme Court would order an election for November -- along with the state Governor's race and Assembly races. The risk here -- and it's a huge risk -- is that if he went for the "permanent" option that conservatives and Republicans outside of New Jersey are advocating, he would 1.) lose in court, and be ordered to hold a November Senate election anyway. 2.) The NJ Democrat machine would select the worst Senate candidate (for Republicans) in a smoke-filled room. 3.) This would bring out the Democrat core voters in droves in November. 4.) That would jeopardize Christie's chances of reelection. 5.) It would almost certainly eliminate any chance of Republicans taking control of the NJ Senate. 6.) Finally, it would make it much more difficult for Christie to veto the slew of gun control bills that the legislature is about to toss on his desk.

Really, Rush needs to read the relevant NJ statutes. Christie's strategy is actually the best one for Republicans. The fact that the NJ Democrat machine now needs to split resources over three elections is a good thing, not a bad thing. Doing it Christie's way, there is an outside chance of picking off Lautenberg's Senate seat -- if there is a vicious Democrat primary -- and a decent chance of winning the NJ Senate.

Funny thing happened today: I turned on the radio because I wanted to listen to all my favorite commercials, and I heard Rush by accident. But it was only for a moment or two.

He wasn't, and he isn't. You must not be a scholar of U.S. Republican politics' history.

Do you happen to remember Arlen Specter? He was a RINO that had his head so far up the Rats' asses that he decided to become one of them.

Christie has amply demonstrated, especially over these past few months of kissing Obama's derriere, that he would sell his mother's soul to the devil just to become President.
